In this video i proved that “Shattered Conditions” removes 1 condition per clone and not one condition per shatter.
I was told it would only cleanse one condition regardless how many illusions are shattered.

Don’t mind the voices pls I was too lazy to do anything else than to upload it. :P
Thanks for helping to dispel bad information. Unfortunately, this is still pretty bad for a gm trait.
They need to combine this and Restorative Illusions in order to make room for an actual gm trait worth going 6 into Inspiration for. -_-
Just as a heads up, the wiki does (and always has) contained the proper information for the trait. I wasn’t aware that how it functioned was a matter of debate.

Thought so too but then I was told that someone tested it like one week ago and it would only clean one condition. Ofc OMFG did not believe me without proving it :o
I wasn’t able to pull up the video.
A couple more notes on this trait as I tested it fairly recently as well – range is 600, condition is cleansed as the illusion begins shatter animation. If you have IP, the cleanse is instantaneous (like how distortion works). Why one would want to run these traits together though is beyond me.
The trait is unreliable due to the requirement of the illusion needing to stay alive amidst AoE’s to reach it’s target to shatter. If it dies on the way, no cleanse.
Overall yeah, still pretty sub-par for a GM trait even after the small attempts at buffing it over the past couple years.
EDIT: To pyro’s comment, if the wiki is up to date I have more testing to do. In my last experience the condition wasn’t cleansed until the shatter animation (not when a shatter skill used, unless you have IP).

What casual gamer reads the wiki? I don’t even read the wiki. lawl And since when did the wiki mean anything when it comes to Mesmer skills? It takes them half a year to ensure the accuracy of our tool tips. Oh wait…
Anyway, this trait is really really dumb, and I hate it!! I take back my earlier subtlety.
There’s some minor discussion on the gm trait here as well as interesting discussion on better Inspiration gm traits in general:

The players edit the wiki, and are in a large part responsible for its accuracy. I know frifox keeps quite a few bits of it up to date based on his testing.
On the topic of Shattered Conditions, I’ve been playing with a build that utilizes this GM to an entertaining level of ‘effectiveness’. It is a 0/4/2/6/2 spread that focuses on support through mantra heals and AoE condi cleanses while also posessing decent condition damage and some cheese retaliation damage if your opponent is dumb enough to eat it.
Nothing too serious here, you’ll get a lot of flack in spvp because people dont really understand what youre doing since your shatters don’t appear to be very effective and your support isnt obvious. Survivability is great, burst damage is essentially non-existent, unless you can land a 3-clone CoF shatter/Confusing Images and successfully summon a Phantasmal Defender immediately after, resulting in some big damage from confusion+retal . This build does shine in that you can laugh off a ridiculous amount of condis over a short period of time, assuming that you are fighting in close quarters and your shatters actually happen. 28 total cleanses if you include Signet of Illusion shatter resets and 24 of those are AoE. Phantasmal Defender is for living longer and the extra retaliation damage mostly. Stability Mantra is your only stun break and helps you to fight close enough to your allies so they get the cleanse from Shattered Conditions. Really the utilities can all be swapped out for anything. Play around and see how you can tweak it.
Give it a try if you’re bored and want to pretend this trait is useful!
