I’ve been trying to find an alternative build that doesn’t use PU since I feel too reliant on it. After tinkering with various more offensive phantasm builds I think I found one I like.

I won’t claim that it’s any sort of great innovation or anything, but I find this particular setup works well for me. It uses dual CD reduction to allow you to get hard-hitting phantasms out quickly, while maintaining a good amount of defense so you aren’t too glassy.

Weapons: GS / scepter/sword + pistol. I use scepter but if you prefer sword it may actually work better in this build.

Traits:
- Domination 20 (III / X)
- Dueling 20 (II / IX)
- Chaos 0
- Inspiration 15 (IV)
- Illusions 15 (III)

With IC and the weapon-specific CD reducers, the iZerker and iDuelist are both on 12 second rotations and can be summoned almost immediately every time you swap weapons. With the scepter I get the nasty torment block every 8 seconds and Magic Bullet has just a 20s cooldown. On the GS Mirror Blade’s CD is just 6.5 seconds so you can use it twice per swap pretty easily.

Manta of Recovery is probably best to take advantage of Mender’s Purity, but I usually use Ether Feast. Utilities can be as you prefer, I currently run Decoy, Defender and the third I rotate. The Defender is extremely useful in keeping both you and your little illusionary friends alive. I often use the Disenchanter as well because of all the condition spamming. For elite I used to use MI but now use the Moa because when strategically placed it can turn a battle in seconds.

For gear in PvP I use Centaur runes exclusively (because I hate being slow) and I use a rabid amulet. Berserker would do more damage, especially with sword, but I find I melt too quickly in 1v2s without the extra toughness.

Anyway, just a fun little build if anyone wants to try it.
