Think I’m good with this look for now. Chain sword pretty much takes me from closet thief to full blown slasher movie villain… which combined with mesmer class… and clones….. and that classic chainsaw sound…. yeah. Sort of a nightmare before Christmas theme here….

And that is the point of all this creative mixing and matching. You take what the game gives you and you make it your own. Good on you for going after this challenge.

You did pretty well with it too. When I think about what makes the mesmer awesome, I think about deception and giving folks the “wrong impression” as part of the main class “theme”. When I see the Grenth hood, I think necro. When I see the dual swords I think thief/warrior. When your enemy finally prevails in a hard fought battle only to see you burst into a cloud of butterflies, a sword through their back will remind them never to trust a mesmer.

Well 2ed post on here, thought I might show my Mesmer. Wanted to go for an odd other word look or maybe just half crazy, wouldn’t that fit a Mesmer pretty well? Anyhow this is Elda Wacky Skulls. What cha think?

Top picture is him with his WvW armor and the awesome looking greatsword. Middle picture is his roaming/PvE armor with Emberglow. Bottom picture is same but I wanted to show it for reasons. The HotW armor is the same as last time I posted in this thread, but the dyes are much better than what he had before.

First pic PvE gear, simply Asura T3.
Second pic my future WvW gear, tried to get the old Mesmer look, noble, classy, fine actress type (pretty hard to get the look on an Asura). Would love to hear if you can think of any improvements.

I got my ascended armor set.

I think it lasted about 5 seconds before I transmuted everything back.

Vella Absconditus has also been collecting her Ascendant (title) armor set. I quite like the look on the female Light set to be honest. Colors are subject to change however. I was going for a look that seems suitable to my active playstyle, which includes dodging at a frequent rate all over the ground, so something a bit more durable and that covers up my skin to protect me. I really like that the female Light Ascended gear looks like it is made out of leather. Edit: Settled on Celestial, Deep Glacial Sky, Midnight Blue, Midnight Ice, Abyss, Flare and Black for the time being. Added second image with new dye composition, though it’s overall the same look.

I like the Ascended armor, although I just made the chest and leggings for now.
