I was trying the paralyzation sigil with confounding suggestions, on a golem.
Without the sigil, you get a 1 second purple icon that looks like a star. Working as intended.

When slotting the sigil in, all you get is the daze icon which lasts not even for a second.

I tried it on a moving enemy and in fact it does not stun at all

Can anyone confirm it?

Reading it back, I understand I wasn’t too clear.

I tried the sigil in conjunction with Mantra of Distraction and Confounding Suggestions, which grants a 1 sec stun. I wanted to make the most out of it and tried to prolong the stun as much as possible, hence the sigil.

But the trait with the sigil doesn’t work. All you get is the Mantra effect, which is a 1 sec (in reality something less) daze.

At the moment do not try running them togehter. Just for your info.

Yeah its bugged. Can’t remember how long or so, but it does indeed inflict a short duration daze instead of a stun when i tested it as well.

Can confirm a similiar bug with the rune of the mesmer: Daze duration +33%. When you equip this rune, all dazes have a duration of about 0.25 sec oder something. Just pops up and vanishes immediately again.

Don’t use any stun oder daze duration sigils or runes atm. So they seem all bugged.

I used to run a complete stun lock build with Paralyzation sigils and Mesmer runes with CS trait months ago…

Basically i found myself trying to stun lock(mantra, signit, diversion) someone into a moa and rupt them while they were transformed. But when i went todo that again this time around with the new patch. Can’t quite get the stun duration to increase how i want it to and the daze just dazes somewhat longer. But the para sigils did work for the signit of domination last time i checked and pistol 5. Since the dazes have a chance to stun, i can see how this might be buggy.

Anet should look into fixing:

  • when the dazes do stun, the duration should be increased(with para sigils)
  • with mesmer runes make sure the daze duration is increased along with the CS trait, but shouldnt interfere with the CS trait and its chance to stun, even if the stun duration is less than that of the daze
