Sigils. A problem left alone too long
This is a larger-than-Mesmer problem. Far larger.
Guardian spirit weapons, Engineer turrets, Ranger pets, Necro minions, they all share this problem.
And to be fair, I thought +5% damage and +5% crit inherited?

Only base stats inherit (with phantasms/clones, I don’t know about those other ones). That means no % damage, no crit chance (including fury), no slaying potions etc.
Well phantasms however gain more damage from more power on the mesmer wich means might will affect them.
Sigil of Battle for example grants 6 stacks of might permanently. That’s 210 power. A Mesmer has~ 2000-2500 power, depending on bloodlust and skills and runes etc. In the worst case you have 19 stacks of might already wich goes to about 3000 power. So having 6 additional stacks of might means at 2000-3000 power and additional 7-10.5% damage.
Since we anyway have to swap for phant cd’s. It’s by far the best sigil damage wise (unless you got 20+ stacks might al lthe time, but that’s not the case imo).
Also you can use sigils like geomancy, hydromancy, energy or maybe even heal on hit (?) etc. Many sigils getting changed soon, so on crit sigils will seperated into on crit and on hit aswell they will now work together with swap and other on crit / hit sigils.
Sigils are no longer gonna share cds. So I guess we really aren’t in trouble. However it would be nice to share +5% damage with the phants tough.

Have you posted this in the profession balance forum? Would be good to.

Funny you should mention that as I was just about to test that for myself. Maybe I can save myself some time if you know…
- If I get buffed with fury, phantasms ignore it?
- If phantasm is externally buffed (not through trait), does he utilize it?
- In a 5 man party most skills are limited to 5 people, the owner and 4 other people in the party (I think). Does that mean that Phantasms are out of luck when it comes to fury in dungeons and I -have- to equip Phantasmal Fury anyways?
- If you get buffed with fury phantasms ignore it yes. They copycat your precision however. There is a trait wich grants phantasms themselves fury, wich works on them ofc.
- If a phantasm gains fury, it will utilize it. If it gains vigor it also would. Regeneration etc works too, everything works except stat bonus. If a ranger with +150 Precision aura is around it will not affect the phantasm, nor does might. Phantasms allways copycat the Mesmers main stats.
- Yes. If a buff is limited to 5 persons (most of them are, only a few skills affect 10 people like mass invisibility) then only 5 “units” gain the buff. However the priority is: Real players -> pets (phantasms) -> NPCs.
Any questions?

If that is the case then Phantasmal Fury should be slotted 100% of the time when running in a party. And here I thought that I could take blade training with x/15/x/x/x builds if party provided fury for me, guess not… XD

On the other hand, if you get precision from an ranger running spotter (which most should be in a dungeon group), that would transfer, etc. Granted 150 precision isn’t huge, but isn’t bad either. So it kinda depends on who is in your party – you can switch up as needed.
150 Precision equals approximately 6.5% crit chance. Phantasmal Fury is a must have trait
