Just going to list changes to signet based abilities that I would personally like as well as a few other changes that have to/should happen for signets to not suck.

Glamour and manipulation abilities are a mess too but I’m not going to tackle that mess.

Passive – 25% movement speed.
Active – Blind foes in a 240 radius and break stuns. (No longer unblockable)

Signet of Illusions
Passive – Good as is.
Active – Now instant cast.

Illusion of Life
- Now creates a 240 radius ethereal field at ground targeted location for 15s.
- Allies within the radius whose health reaches 0 will not enter downstate until the field disappears or they leave the radius of the field.

Maybe I’m off-track with the suggestions, maybe I’m not. But these changes should open up boon sharing/support mesmers a lot as well as not force mesmers to use deceptive evasion with the increase of invulnerability from 1s to 3s.

Also… these changes will cause terrible grandmasters to not be terrible.

The biggest change in there that I would like to see is the dueling master trait ’disruptor’s sustainment’. Getting a minor heal on interrupt as it would balance out interruption builds and place a bit more focus on interrupts as a Mesmer, and it fits well with the ideas of the class and with the purpose of dueling trait line

As for the rest of the post,

Signet mastery into Chaos is arbitrary to me, the only complaint I’ve had with it in domination is that so many other traits are better for literally every PvP build (mental torment, halting strike, and empowered illusions.

Blurred Inscriptions from 1s to 3s is a HUGE buff, even for a GM trait. Imagine 2 signets on your utility bar, thats 6 seconds of immunity…maybe 2s instead but that still would be pushing it. Also, you can chain distortion, it doesn’t stack but you can use your next signet during the distortion of the first, to make sure it goes off.

As for signet of midnight and signet of illusions, it would be nice to see it be 25% movement speed and an instant cast for them. The instant cast could be broken if that GM went through though since we already have signet of midnight as instant.

Overall I like the ideas and its always nice to see the community putting more out there to try to make the profession build variety increase! Keep it up.

Chaos Minor is a great place for some of the stronger but “not as good as Y” to go live imo. Almost none of those traits are worth picking up x.x

I’d wish for a trait to carry over a similar effect to the ele’s one where we get to retain passive effects even after using the active. Many of our signets boast less than stunning passives as they stand now and something like that might make me reconsider taking Ether Signet out of the “meh” bin.

This one trait allows me to get the jump on Theives as well as other Mesmers, and to set up a Phantasmal Duelist and make them a non-issue with their stealth tracking or even land a nice interrupt from a 1200 range, if we get mainhand pistol I’ll be in pistol-y heaven. It’s a staple for me currently however, I will never let go of my offhand pistol.
