i notice i seriously cannot decide which class is the strongest.
i’ve played necro, ele, condition thief, mesmer, warrior, and sb ranger so far.

i posted in mesmer, because mesmer is my main and i find it the most fun to play..

anyone else have a hard time choosing because they feel its balanced pretty well?

I dont care which is “strongest” seen plenty complain about the Mesmer PvE state but i myself think its great fun, sure it can be a challenge but i dont want to 1hit everything and be handed everything on a plate

Ele was quite strong as well havent played the others as the only 2 classes i have played are Ele and Mesmer – trying to force myself to ignore all the hate going on about Necro and make one

Started a mesmer and played for a while. Then I started a necro/ele/guardian.

Went back to my mesmer and got to 80.
<3 her so much now. Find it entirely too hard to return to my alts.

Speaking “purely PvE”? I feel Mesmer is one of the weaker, if not the weakest, class. Relatively slow ramp-up time, if the target you’re ramping up on dies, your entire effort is wasted, shatters often result in nothing if illusions can’t reach target fast enough, etc. Just a slew of massive issues.

For PvE, and to a large extent WvW, I prefer Engineer. Not the strongest, not by the furthest stretch of the imagination, but far stronger than Mesmer. Also arguably far more complex and challenging class. Try juggling 3-4 kits on Engineer, and Mesmer will seem like a total kitten by comparison.
