I want to make a full ascended Power Chrono. Would greatly appreciate a gear/build list. I have the resources for BiS I just need to know which to purchase.

I currently use mantras when I play Power Chrono in SPvP (what is the meta Power Chrono for WvW?).

I assume if I were to use the current SPvP meta Condi Chrono I would be investing in Celestial Gear, is this correct?

Nope, never ever use celestial on mesmer, it’s really awful. If you wanted to recreate the SPvP condie chrono, you’d probably use a mix of vipers and dire. If you wanted to do a power chrono, you’d just go zerk or marauder.

“meta” power for chrono is usually zerk or zerk-marauder mix with sword-shield/greatsword.

I’ve seen a lot more running this build for might stacking through shatter spam. Most others will substitute illusions with domination top, top, middle and using mantra of distraction instead of mirror images. Another option is power block if you’re good with interrupts.

Strictly speaking the “meta” for chrono in WvW is condi, you’d have a hard time losing even a 2v1 on that and most people see a condi chrono and go into brown trousers mode.

The reason people use words like ‘a bit of this’ or ‘some of that’ is because the mix is subjective depending on what you like. For the condie build, viper is the offensive stat set, but it has no defense whatsoever. To shore up this weakness, you mix in some dire. Add dire until you’re personally happy with the defense you have.

Same with power. Start with zerkers and add marauder pieces until you’re happy with your hp.
