Some skill slot(Phantasms) consistency?
Anet doesn’t seem to be interested in user convenience. The UI is not customizable, skill bars change weapon to weapon on almost all professions (as your argument here shows), plus many more irritants that most players have just learned to put up with.
Definitely a different experience from GW1, and definitely moving in the wrong direction from where anet was 4 years ago.

You can’t easily do this with weapon skills. Not due to technical reasons, but progession ones.
ANet wanted us to learn the weapon skills in a specific order. Allowing to swap it, would ruin that purpose.
Yet, I’d also like to see an option to swap the weapon skills (for each weapon) once you learned all skills of all weapons.
Well I’d say once all are unlocked, allow swapping of abilities between weapon slots, but only on the same weapon.
As in:
- For 2Hed weapons I can swap all abilities in all 5 slots.
- For Main Hand I can change the #1-#3 skills however I want, but I can’t use them to #4 or #5.
- For Off Hand weapons I can only reverse the order.
- For Thieves, #3 is fixed and cannot be moved.

Weapon skill positions seem to be sorted by CD: skills with higher CDs go further down. There are some exceptions but they usually occur when CDs were changed in patches.
