Stealth still viable for roaming?
A build like that has it place in wvw as a roamer, although I would drop the toughness to 1200 and increase crit damage crit chance. Imo 1200 toughness is enough since using stealth as the primary defense along with the boons generated with pu. Also taking trait number 1 in domination to increase shatter damage along with 3 in chaos to shorten blink cooldown (blinking while stealthed to stay in gs to do damage) positioning.
yeah, I was thinking about that shadowy ability as well but wasn’t certain if that was the way to go. I also was thinking that the base 2800 armor was needed for WvW but I guess I can change that out as I have lots and lots of ascended Berserker trinkets. Thanks a ton for the help!

I’ve decided to go back and level a mesmer again and thus far, it’s pretty darn fun. Way back when I use to run a heavy stealth build in WvW and sPvP and was wondering if it’s still a viable build to use. I’ll like the build I was using below and this is based upon the gear I actually have on me. Can you please tell me what you think?
I would argue that this is more of a dueling/wvw spec. You don’t really need toughness because you’ll have PU + stealth to counter that. Trying mixing in more beserker gear. Your dmg is already significantly reduced and mesmer’s have low enough dmg as is. Try using a “bountiful sharpening stone – which will increase your power by 100 and boon duration by 10%” this is an expensive option however. I would drop phantasmal fury for manipulation range if you feel you cannot escape enough. Also since you have enough stealth from torch, you might want to remove veil (sometimes) and opt for extra condi clear (since wvw is condi crazy) such as mantra of resolve. For sigils on your greatsword – use and and fire to proc the extra dmg. off hand just use energy and possibly bloodlust.

Why wouldn’t you want the traveler’s runes? The class has such limited mobility as it is and the bonus to boons with the PU build make a nice match.
