Guild Wars 2

This is mostly a Tip of the hat to the forum and in game community of Mesmer’s. And after a long day of work and sitting on my hands, I feel like I need to write this up for all of you.

be it your main, your alt, your mule.. whatever….

I’d like to thank all of you for fostering one of the Healthier and more close nit groups here on the forums and for contributing to the discussions around the class. Be it posting the next Meta build or simply conversing on a topic and sharing opinions.

Together we all struggle through this game and I can honestly say that the success of the Mesmer class thus far is Due to all of you.

Through a lot of thought and understanding this community has discovered ways to make the class strong despite its flaws. Working around bugs in what is arguably the most bugged and least kept Class in this game isn’t easy and yet somehow there’s always a build out there that barely lets us hang on to the tails of the other classes.

Playing with builds after every nerf and new bug or bug fix, finding ways to maintain a presence in other players eyes that demands further Nerfs to bring us “into line”…

It’s really been impressive guys and gals.. really it has..

So, with the disheartened sigh i great the loading sound of the client with every day now, I still can’t help but click that Character window a little defiantly and start playing on my Mesmer.
I and you.. all of us.. have made the Mesmer class something Playable despite every new patch.. We don’t have Anet to thank for anything at this point anymore.. It’s just us.

So I tip my hat to you all.

Specially to those who will continue to help and foster the little we can from the messes others create.

That’s a good way to look at it, and your positive outlook on the current state of mesmer is great! Personally I don’t know if half the bug list will ever get fixed but I also would like to thank all the mesmers, past and present, who have tried against all odds to make our class what it deserves to be.

yeh well put i completley agree i have had a break since LS1 to LS2 updates (came back for feature patch) but we are a shadow of what we used to be and what we could be but this forum is a very close-nit succesful group of positive people and great theorycrafters i come hear above all other forums to discuss things as we get proper conversations and answers most of the other forums can dive into flaming obscurity real fast.

i would like us to get a little attention though

It will all be fixed. It’s just a matter of time how quick ANet will realize what they constantly keep doing to this class. The game has been out for 2 years (or more?), it should be quick. In the mean time, we will all still be here, but perhaps spend more time on other classes. I still can play mesmer like I did before in PvP so I won’t change much, but other people will for sure.

It’s a shame where our class is in the current state of the game. The only reason I play he is it mesmer, it’s so unique and I have never found a game with such a cool class. Albeit I get upset with some f the changes made I try my best to to cross the line and give us a bad rep. Also! My brothers, never forget to bow after a fight, it’s the gentleman thing to do

I definitely feel for folks who can’t get fun out of the class and the game.

I still have fun roaming around in WvW. I’m sure WvW roaming is a bit different on different servers, but I generally find some fun fights, and I still feel like I can keep working on getting better (finally solo’d a tower the other day, solo’d a fully upgraded camp a couple weeks ago, still have stuff on my list…). But I can totally see how my experience may not match up with others.

More importantly, this forum has always had a great number of really smart and helpful people. Thx for taking a moment to point that out, Swish.
