[Suggestion] Merge Manipulation traits

As title suggests merge the Manipulation traits. These traits are in two different lines with much more useful traits. Merging them would make it worth while dropping another trait for it.

But (assuming the 2 traits get merged in a single 1) that means they will not be first tier traits, they’ll advance to second tier and will compete with the goodies from there …

I second this, Chaos III is so lackluster and weak that merging it with Dueling I will not make Dueling I too good for 1st tier major.

Not sure there were merges happening in the past but having more than just recharge CD doesn’t necessary means master trait

Ofc it depends more on the effect and the utilities affected. I think 300 extra distance is only really useful for blink though, and not by a lot.

Lets not undervalue the benefit of that extra 300 on blink because its amazing. The manip CD brings blink down to 24secs which is also nice. I use AT a lot in pvp/wvw so I would be for this change being that I use both traits now.

If you merge it, a lot of classes will complain because you have to merge their traits too.

Ex: Trap potency & Trappers Expertise.

They should merge Glamour Master and Temporal Enchanter for a master trait too.

I can understand merging a CD reduction with another trait skill like range increase. So the two glamour traits in Inspiration make sense.

But Trap Potency already lowers cool down AND increases condi duration. Trapper’s expertise makes them ground targeted AND a larger range. I think those are separated nicely.

Ah you have a point there. I made mistake. The traits was supposed to be the enables the spirit to move and the proc bonus.

The glamour traits should be done now considering glamour has already been nerfed to the ground

Agreed. ANET would really need to weigh what they were doing. Merging the glamour traits and the manipulation traits together is one thing.

If they merged things like the spirit traits, I could see that being GM.

300 extra range actually transforms Arcane Thievery from an aggravating skill that fails far to often to a semi reliable skill that rarely fails.

Not undervalue, but I’m questioning how much this can boost it to master trait level, where its unlikely to out-compete with DE in Dueling line or BI in Chaos. 1200 blink in 24s CD is still far from OP, considering how many CC, gap closers, range etc other profession can dish out. Problem with AT isn’t exactly about distance though, so I don’t think this change would make it OP either.
