Suggestion: Polymorph Moa
Hello. Ever since the beta days Moa has been either REALLY good or REALLY bad depending on the game mode.
So cutting right to it, these are my proposed changes:Decrease duration from 10 seconds to 5 seconds. (Keep the breakbar burn amount)
While under the effect of Moa, you do not count towards point distribution.This will make it more of a utility tool in pvp instead of the complete cheese-mode it is right now. It will give mesmers a chance to neutralize points vs some of the more tanky classes.
All of this while remaining the 180 seconds cd ofc.Leave any feedback.
In short: “nerf it HARD.”

I like how first it’s condi Mesmer, then it’s portal, now it’s Moa. Like seriously, how many of you people are legitimately dying to Moa in? Moa is the kittenznit.
Step 1) find Mesmer
Step 2) play and arouse Mesmer
Step 3) make them use Moa
Step 4) peck the living crap out of them with the unbelievably high coefficients Moa attacks do.
Step 5) stomp Mesmer
Step 6) profit.
Granted in a highly organized team with someone like Supcutie or Helseth if the call is made for someone to be Moa’ed offs are theyre downstate. But rightfully so. Because it’s requiring team effort.
If you’re dying to Moa in 1v1’s…. I don’t even know.
I had a necro the other day super salty I took away his 2nd health bar… He should have noticed what was going on when I was eagerly hitting his spectral armor lol.
Guess he never played during the power necro days.
Personally I don’t see the big deal with moa, when I get moaed it’s usually a DPS boost.
Realistically though, it takes 1 second to cast with an obvious animation. Doge it. if stealth is an issue, expect it in the last two seconds of decoy.
If you turn to a bird, burst mesmer, or run away. Be sure to only doge towards clones if they shatter.

moa is useless if your team dont know how to stack burst in it.
when soloq and target the necro or ele and use moa and no one is doing any dmg to it so they just 5 and run away….
putting it in 5 sec will nerf it so hard that it wont be used unless the cd will be 45 sec and not 90. but either way it wont give the mesmer the ability to kill fast as engi will just heal so fast, necro with DS and so on. so basically you turn this to 5 sec daze
if the the 5 sec moa will proc also 5 stack of torment and 5 confusion than.
Lets nerf more skills, and do nothing to compensate it!
If you were to suggest something like “Make moa last 3 seconds, but decrease the cooldown to 60 seconds”, I would’ve been like “That’s an idea that we could do on a public beta testing server to see how it pans out!”
But no.
Nerf 1 of the only 2 skills mesmer brings to a team, to the ground.
Please, please, just stop.
You’re asking for moa to just be a kitten skill, right after having an intro stating “It was either really good, or really bad”.
The reality is that it was always pretty bad.
And it’s only somewhat good now because of continuum split.
But if I use CS for moa, then I don’t have it for the other 50 situations I’d like to use it in.
And if I use CS for another situation, then I don’t have it for moa.
Do you see the catch 22?
Next you’ll increase gravity well’s cooldown to 180 seconds without changing its damage.
Instead of, well, you know. Decreasing TW’s cooldown to 90 seconds so that it’s competitive with current gravity well.

And to Your information, moa is really hitting harder, mostly in power builds. But most people is so cofused whent they are turned that they don’t realize this.

Um… heck no? Why would we nerf a combat skill to be less combat-y just so we can deny, what? 5 seconds of point capture which we can achieve by just getting on the kitten point ourselves? No. No. And again, no. Moa is fine as it is, no need for any of your “balance” ANet, please.

I have made this mistake onec, a have changed an oponent without any clone by my side and with half of hp and he smashed me in few hits ;-)
