How do you use these?

Meta battle suggests putting it on your Main hand sword- But if your using offhand sword and focus, how would it proc if it’s never swapped?

Would it still proc? Am i thinking to hard?

You only have one mainhand weapon and the other two weapons in the offhand slot.

First set: Sword (with sigil) / Sword
Second set: – / Focus

Every time you now swap weapons the sigil will proc.

If you have no mainhand in the 2nd set, you’ll use the first mainhand, so you swap to it.

It’s not a flexible / good sigil tough, it forces you to completly mess up your rotation and you’ll not always have your skills rdy if you need them. The duration is also too short for a 100% uptime, so even if you swap at the right moment, you can’t support a full CS (F5) with it.
Better get your boon dura elsewhere. I suggest 5x surging + platin doubloon and bountiful sharps or simply leadership here. Those are the best runes you could have as a Chrono.

I wouldnt say that, offhand sigils such as air are pretty useless on mesmer as it doesnt proc on phantasms at all. Runes on the other hand can bring strong bonusses such as the 2sec quickness on chrono runes.

Before the patch, you could provide 100% quickness uptime for 10 people using the concentration sigil, you just have to change your rotation a bit rather than mess up your old one. I am all in for surging runes, theyre great if you cant afford the sigil, but the sigil is still optimal if you are going for quickness uptime while retaining damage.

Sigil of Air and its ilk all have icds, to the point that the number of attacks it can apply to barely matters. All that matters is that you can attack frequently enough to consistently proc the sigil soon after it comes off cd. Attacking faster makes a bit of a difference, but phantasm attack rates are so low that it would likely not be a major factor even if they could proc the sigil.

It’s the flat bonuses that really suffer from not applying to phantasms.

Also you already could share 10 ppl quickness without concentration with the proper gear. The point is that this sigil messes your rotation up since you want to have shield 5# on cd all the time and you want to swap to focus when you need it, never ever else. It also has just a 70% uptime.

On swap sigils proc on weapon swap. It does not matter which weapon you are swapping to, just that you pushed the “swap” button. So you could have a mainhand sword on one swap and a focus on the other, then having two sets would allow you to proc whatever on swap sigils.

About rotation, even after having Commander’s armor and boon duration food + utility, having a Concentration sigil was the best purchase I’ve ever had.

You can perfectly have 100% uptime on quickness AND on your “Quickness burst”, since you do not put out quickness throughout your whole rotation.

The rotation for Quickness at Metabattle is a very good guideline for a rotation that uses the Concentration to it’s full potential, and even on Berserker gear, using boon food + utility and a Concentration sigil keeping up Quickness on your party becomes really easy.

tl;dr: Buy it, it’s REALLY worth it and REALLY easy to use.

This is just flat out wrong information, Concentration lasts for 7 seconds and the duration of CS is 6 seconds with 3 illusions, you have an extra second duration which you can use a Tides and maybe a well.

Also, Chronomancer runes are not only ridiculously cheap, they are craftable and give a really valuable Quickness burst for your rotation, while just boon duration runes give your Time Warp, Well of Action and Tides of Time slightly longer boon duration.

At 100% duration, you get 22 seconds at the end of Time Warp, 6 seconds from Tides and 6 seconds from Action.

With 100% duration (from Revenant and the following) or running Boon Duration food + utility, Chronomancer runes and a sigil of concentration (66%), you get:
Tides of Time: 5 seconds
Well of Eternity: 3.2 seconds
Well of Recall: 3.2
Well of Action: 3.2 + 4.8
Time Warp: 18.3

While also having more uptime since you have more skills such as wells to contribute to your Quickness burst.

It’s not like your whole CS combo finishes the moment you finished CS – TW lasts for 10s for instance, the last ToT and WoA won’t get the duration increase either.

You also have to sustain about ~65s quickness per rotation, since it lasts that long. During that time you do:
1x TW
3x WoA
4x ToT
for quickness.

With 100% boon duration and no chrono runes this is 64s quickness. This means you can even kick SoI for WoC → more damage and alacrity.

It’s more optimal, but more expensive, agreed! The cheapest way Is simply SoI and Chrono runes, but Concentration is never a good idea, unless you run Sword / – & – / Shield in a comp without Rev.
