Hey All,

Apologies if this has already been asked recently but I am back after a break and I’m trying to find a profession that’s quite versatile. The roles I like to cover are support/Boons/conditions.

I don’t know what kinda tricks and traits the professions really have as I only have mesmer to 80 and its been a while

Can anyone help a poor soul out?

I think you have to decide which “role” do you want to fit the most.
For support/boons mesmers, I suggest you to look at WvW builds since they’re very tanky but with lower output damage, as they’re often used in small groups instead of solo play.
For support/conditions, you could try my build in the signature and abuse from Nullfield/Feedback as utilities in order to combo them with iduelists. The only thing you should change is:
Remove into illusion the “double bounce trait” and put these 10 points into the ispiration trait line, so you can use the glamour CD reduction.

these sound great. Can you give me an idea of what the builds can do?

I’m not to bothered about being massive damage dealing, i like groupings and dungeons as content so prefer to be helpful in alot of situations and be flexible with what i can do.

The first thing is to learn the most requested mesmer: CoF speedruns :P

I found a youtube video with useful tips. Sadly, some pugs will preted that you’re full Berserker and nothing else.

If you often run dungeons, i suggest 6x Lyssa runes + TimeWarp + Signet of Inspiration

If you want to support there are 2 very viable options.

1. You use damage gear, use whatever build you want, be it phantasm shatter or somehting else. You still ahve a lot of support through the use of glamours and reflection with say a focus.
2. Boon support, You keep the same support as #1, but you lsoe some damage and gain massive party wide boon uptime! This playstyle requires quite a lot of improvisation (in my oppinion) and its quite hard to master (also i my oppinion, maybe im just doing it wrong).

You can also go 50/50, where you use damage gear but use boon support traits, but its not needed to have massive damage :P.
