After all the negative feedback on the uselessness current PU/Condi fotm spec (staff/sw+torch) , I tried to go back to my original zerk/shatter (gs/sw+sw). Thing is: how do we (and did I) survive with that spec? F4 is only once in a while, decoy/blink/sword2 can only take me that far, and when fighting a point with a necro and an engineer every square inch means death.

Honestly I think it was better for the team when I could ‘entertain’ 3 ennemy for 2+ minutes while they were capping other points, even if we lose the one I defend, than the instant stun/death/somanycondiiiis that I eat with shatter.

Sure in team fight shatter numbers are flying, and 1v1 is ok (but no way as much as PU/Condi level), but is it really worth it for an average SoloQ-level player ?

From watching Helseth with staff/gs type shatter/power build in soloQ, I’ve noticed that a number of times he will usually try to pick battles he knows he will likely win. Otherwise he will move to another point unless another teammate is close by to help.

I guess what I am trying to get at is that with certain builds you have to pick your battles wisely or you will just give the other team free points.
