Swiftness
No, they just made the swiftness from centaur runes more reliable. o_O Irony much?

Oh you can swap weapons from your inventory in combat now? Cool I must have missed that patch note…
I’m with redcobra. I just double click focus hit 4, then double click the weapon I swapped out. I actually find it easier than swapping signets on my other classes. IE, even on my necro, I usually just swap in warhorn, hit 5, swap out. Everytime I equip a signet, I get jumped, then have to fight w/o the actual skillset I want. On my engy, I have to constantly swap kits every 5s. Or, I have to swap in a medkit, hit 5, then swap to healing turret. It’s not all roses for other classes. I still wouldn’t complain if they gave us a signet though. I’m just not sure I’d use it.
Swapping to Focus from your bags is lame and gets tiresome in WvW. Besides, you can’t swap in combat. Bandaid solution.

What do you want for speed in combat? It can’t be a signet. When I slot signet on my necro, I still don’t have the mobility or the escape mechanisms that my Mesmer has w/o speed. Even if we had access to a signet, we have too many good slot skills to waste on speed. And my point above was that alot of classes have to do the same thing. Swapping kits on my engineer is tiresome too, way more tiresome than swapping out a focus now and then.
Incombat speed is easily gained with the huge amount of evades you have and tele’s stop qq’ing, mesmers have the highest incombat mobility in the game, not only that you have illusions celerity.

shadowraith you tend to switch weapons before you enter combat i thought that would of gone without saying and you should be able to have a good idea when you should switch.
Redcobra, were not worried about our in-combat mobility that is excellent and rivaled only by the thief however out of combat we only have focus for swiftness and if we want to be fast and not slow (dependent on ourselves) we have to take centuar runes, no other profession is pigeon holed or made to feel that way to gain such a basic speed-up.
all they need to do is add the +speed to a signet or mantra, no biggy hell make it out of combat only i don’t care.
