atm i’m using the zerk build but i was thinking about getting a more tank armor for higher fractals and tougher doungeons so, what armor will be the best one to get? i want to do damage anyway but without dying too much

Mesmers should always be using zerker gear for PVE. None of the dungeons are tough besides super high level fractals. With the likes of decoy, blink, phantasms, staff and clones you really shouldn’t be getting hit that often.

Keep going Berserker in high fotm level or everything else in PvE.
Mesmer has great survailability skills, you dont need your gear to be tanky. Do some practice instead!
I dont know how is your build atm, but anyway I suggest you to take 30 points in Inspiration traitline for every PvE run you do, low or high level. That traitline is full of utilities that can help you out with conditions removal and resistence, plus the extra reflection/healing/cleaning for all the party.
I usually run in fotm with a 20/20/0/30/0, with full zerk gear, using gs + sw/focus or sw/pistol for some bosses. I can both choose to go Phantasm or Shatter relative to the situation. Dealing a lot of damage, I feel I am useful enough for party burst and survalability.

Most mesmer damage comes from phantasms or shatters. Definetly be full or mostly zerker/valkyrie for PvE.

For WvW full zerker will get you killed, so having cavalier, knight’s, and valkyrie pieces and trinkets mixed in will be best for that mode. Unless you go with conditions for WvW, where you’ll want to be full or mostly rabid.

and zerker where it makes sense (shoulders as an example because you gain the best crit damage tradeoff for only 24 toughness loss). Cavalier/zerker/Knight’s combination is what i’ve been running for at least 6 months and don’t see it changing any time soon
