Just wanted to say thanks Mesmers for turning me onto this class. I loved the idea of playing a mesmer but sucked terribly at it. So at launch went Engineer, another complicated class. But, something with Engi clicked and took the class to 80. And while my Engineer is fun and useful, my longing to play a mesmer grew every time i fought one. Finally decided to just break down and give it a go after reading some guides/watching some vids. And I gotta say, even in my early 20s i feel so so useful. Anyways, thanks. Loving the class.

YAY A NON QQ POST?!

Heh, this story I think has happened a lot.

At launch lot of would be mesmers rolled engineer, now – armed with better knowledge of the game – they’ve returned to the fold.

That’s just freaky. I did the same thing. GW1 mesmer since launch, but I went engi when GW2 launched because the new mesmer ‘just wasn’t the same.’ Now my engi is boring and my new GW2 mesmer is almost 80 and way more fun.

I’m proud to say I’ve been a Mesmer since the first BWE1 and been with the profession ever since. Love it

same. being a mesmer since bwe1 , our class changed a lot, but it is for sure a very usefull class indeed. Being able to trick the enemy is quite fun and it is unfun when another mesmer tricks you ahaha.
