Hi everyone! So I figured I would start a Mesmer wish list so that we all can come up with some creative and well balanced skills that we hopefully can see implemented in the game. Also with the exception of changing or replacing current skills in-game with something of your choice. Below is just some examples of what I came up with and it is all up for discussion.

“Being a Mesmer myself, I feel as if there is not much creativity right now with our utility, elite and even weapon skills. There are times when I want to create an all glamour build but how can I when they are all on long cooldowns or short duration’s? There are times when I just want my staff weapon skills to deal more damage and feel more flexible with damage and defense. If Mesmers are supposed to be deception magic, illusions, trickery and psychic’esc confoundment – then why do our skills seem so within the box and not outside of it?”

I had a variety of utility and elite skills in mind, but I figured I would keep my choices minimum so I can really think about balance but while staying true to the professions background. I hope you guys like the ideas and hopefully get inspired to join in and whip up some interesting skills for ArenaNet to see!

Cry of Frustration

NEW EFFECT: “Teleport away from your target and grant stealth to yourself. Summon a clone that casts Winds of Chaos"

EFFECT: Regeneration: 3s (390 health) => Regeneration: 5s (650 health)
REMOVED: Swiftness: 3s
ADDED: Retaliation: 5s

Chaos Storm
DAMAGE: 122 (o.330) => 201 (0.540)
ADDED: Tormentx2: 5s (320 damage)

Ether Clone
ACTIVATION TIME: 1 => ½

Confusing Images
ACTIVATION TIME: 3 => 2

Sirens Call
ADDED: Vulnerability: 5s
EFFECT: Bleeding: 1s (43 damage) => Bleeding: 2s (86 damage)

Null Field
EFFECT: Removes one boon/condition per target per pulse => Removes two boons/conditions per target per pulse.

Portal Entre
BUGFIX: Displays the duration of portal entre.

Portal Exeunt
BUGFIX: Displays the duration of portal exeunt.

Veil
EFFECT: Stealth (2s): Invisible to foes => Stealth 3s: Invisible to foes.
COOLDOWN: 90 => 45

the trait would be game braking, phace retreat is fine as it is, dont make it op pls, veil cd reduction is too massive,chaos storm torment adding could be a nerf cause it will proc daze less often

phase retreat will never have something as op as stealth, even for a quarter of a second, especially when it has like a ~5 second cd, is a defensive blink, an illusion summoner, and a combo finisher.

i’m all for granting cry of frustration more confusion, even if it was a trait or some junk. confusion kicks kitten if you know how to shatter properly, even in a zerker build the stacks can REALLY hurt a spammer thief/ranger who doesnt notice them in time.

and yes hitting a mesmer channeling ether clone needs to actually be punishable; i can’t count the number of times that i’ve blocked an enemy with ether clone only to have them dodge 3/4 of a second later so my torment doesnt land.

A few things,

you realize veil is one of the few skills in the game that can stealth infinite amount of allies.

Another thing, the scepter is clunky to use because the cast time rely on the fact that the bolt has to hit something to move to the next chain. Increasing the projectile speed will be much more useful.

Phase retreat is a powerful escape skill that you can exploit terrain on low cd……..
