The Prestige
Because its a channel skill in the current incarnation, that has a benefit when you start channeling (Stealth and Blind). It was being taken advantage of in its previous state to get a constant source of Stealth with a tiny CD (When interrupted) along with Blind AoE as a bonus.
Previously, there wasn’t a Channel in the skill. Rather it gave you the Stealth then after X seconds you blew up dealing the Fire part of the skill. Just you could attack, break stealth, and the Explosion part of the skill would still go off at the later time. For some reason, they changed the skill to a Channel skill so that you couldn’t get the Explosion if you break stealth (but opened the purposely interrupting yourself for tiny CD Stealth).
Hopefully the current change is just a temporary patch, and they’ll fix it right.

I can completely understand why they made the change because I was also exploiting the skill to get constant stealth and blind but to change it so it goes on CD with enemy interrupts is really unfair.
Yeah I think the best way for it to work would be…
You trigger the skill, you immediately go into stealth with no channel and blind enemies, and the skill immediately goes on full cooldown. Then, however many seconds later, you unstealth and burn enemies.
I don’t see why it should be a channel.

Yesterday when I was using The Prestige I also figured out that if you traited 30 into chaos for an additional 1 second of stealth on skills, that the burning damage from The Prestige would still go off at its normal time. So with a heavy condition build, if i waited until the “1 extra second” portion of my stealth to cancel The Prestige, every 4 seconds I could apply a huge amount of AoE fire damage as well as blind. Was fun while it lasted
