The Three Musketeers
I am guessing that whatever happens is exactly the same thing that would happen if 3 other optimised builds in the same class roam together – yes, the three of you will be able to kill a solo roamer.
I was thinking more of around 3 vs 10-15+. Haha. What’s your thoughts on that?
Oh I forgot about that. If they are complete idiots you will be able to kill them too!
What if they weren’t complete noobs. What if they were actually pretty decent. What strategy do you think that these 3 people should use?
Spread out damage?
Single out players?
Etc?

Run away. You cant win a 3v10 vs decent players, and condi builds dont have enkough burst to stop regiving :P
I think theyd be called ‘the prismatic understandeneers’, too :P
Warning: link may contain traces of awesome.
Lyssa’s Grimoire – a guide every Mesmer should read.
Being honest with you, if you come up against decent players a 3v10 is not going your way. Just won’t happen, best case scenario is you can harass for a while with all your stealth’s. But a group of 10 decent players might mean a small hit squad like judge and in that case your going to die, because they rez faster than you can kill.
The Corrupt Mesmer Builds
Your 3 mesmers will try to grab their attention while their zerg arrives and steamrolls them – that would work. 3 vs 10 is unwinnable against good max level players. If they are really bad then yeah, it is definitely possible.
The answer to this question is so simple I’m surprised it’s even being asked.
Time itself would stand still, and when it started again the entire fabric of time and space would implode on itself. The resulting reverberation will bring to life one single, unmeasurable truth. The Pink Butterfly.
Actually I imagine that they’d all set out from their destination, and after The Holy Hell build arrives and deals with the current situation, the other two builds would show up wondering why they didn’t bring swiftness and a long range blink.

Made my day
Back to topic, there is absolutely no special synergy between those builds besides all of them running PU. However, some additional boons from PU won’t provide anything substantial groupwise. It just increases the troll factor of this group because you got a lot of stealth. Furthermore, this could be done by any build which runs PU.
I really don’t get why you would think this was a noteworthy group composition…
Just seemed like a good setup in my eye. Also thought it would be kind of fun tho. Well, what would be the max number of people that 3 playser could take on? 6?
You want a number of players mesmers can beat? Give us a number that will describe skill level of mesmers and skill level of their opponents. Also we would like to know the builds, gear, sigil stacks, food buffs of enemies. Don’t forget to add if they are all talking on TS/Ventrillo/Mumble and what is their ping. It would be helpful if you can let us know in what mood and how tired everyone is. How are their display settings? Can they see character animations? Etc, etc, etc.
I have no idea how can you expect a number without providing any ideals. It is not like we can just plug the numbers into an equation and come with a result .
3 mesmers can beat any number of opponents (0+) depending on a ton of variables.
If the 10 were well coordinated with comms, then impossible. Those 10 would probably wreck a 20-man mindless zerg.
3 mesmers would seem like 12 players on the field (3 illusions + mesmer themself). Even with proper comms, it would be a hassle with constant target switching. You don’t have to win, but you should be able to stall them for a good amount of time. In WvW terms, that’s already winning.
