Hi,
I tried surfing youtube for some images of the legendary pistol on a mesmer but i didn’t find any.

Is it worth? Since it’s an offhand only, you almost never use it, save for the magic bullet. Does having the quip equipped modify the iDuelist attack? That would probably be worth it, but still i can’t find any video about it and i don’t see a lot of mesmers in game with that pistol (actually i never saw one, that’s why i’m posting here)

I believe Munkee has made the Quip (and I’m also planning on making it since the Meteorlogicus seems more difficult to farm and the scepter isn’t so…..good). Here’s the screenshot she sent:

I asked her about it and it does give the aura (as you can see in the pic) and leaves footprints of colored stripes (not 100% positive, she’ll know). It does work on Magic Bullet but it seems the aura will make an easy spot to see the real mesmer among clones (until clones can wield offhands).

There’s also wishful hoping that MH pistol may be possible in the future, but right now, we don’t know.

Another way to see how the quip looks on a mesmer is go on yours and preview it on the TP. I’ve seen it a few times on mesmers that do sword/pistol dps, and it looks pretty cool

Honestly it’s one of the ugliest weapons in the game, as far as I’m concerned… But then again I think most legendary weapons are ugly as hell… But I’m not the one making it, you are, so… your call.

When you have Quip equipped on a mesmer you do have an aura, you do have footsteps, the iDuelist do not change and the Magic Bullet skill does trigger the Quip’s animations and sound. Munkee is on the Yak’s Bend server and can be found between the Mystic Forge and the bank when he is in Lion’s Arch if you want to see it.

Better quality picture of it. As stated:

-Purple Aura
-Burst into confetti when you pull it out (unsheathe/weapon switch)
-Doesn’t affect clones
-Confetti footsteps
-Affects #5 (Magic Bullet)

I think that for now i’ll just go on stacking mats and things for generic gifts and then i’ll decide, we are all hoping to see pistol in MH soon or later
