Guild Wars 2

With the upcoming patch, I think it might be possible to run Celestial/Rampager gear on a mesmer and do a mix of burst damage through shatters and debilitating conditions. Please note that this is dueling/roaming oriented.

The build will focus on blocking. Blocking might be more viable because of the addition of more torment sources to Mesmer, which if applied to an enemy, forces them to stay and fight. This is also the reason why I chose Maim the Disillusioned instead of IP.

The second weapon set is really for chasing/escaping, and I plan to stay in scepter/sword for most of the fight. The cooldown reduction should help in longer fights.

I put Mantra of Pain for more burst and/or if I run into groups. I don’t know how else to make the build be viable in 2 or 3v1 situations.

This is my first time mixing gear stats, as I usually run full Berserker or Rabid, so it might not be optimal yet.

I’d love to hear any thoughts or suggestions on the viability of this build.

Why no staff ?

I don’t understand why you have illusionary elasticity, since you don’t have any attacks that bounce.

My bad, that’s supposed to be the one that refreshes shatters. As to why no staff, I feel this build has enough defensive moves as is.

With ilusionary elasticity you have much more offensiv moves than with Pistol after 9.9.
