Guild Wars 2

Me playing shatter mesmer and showing you guys tips/tricks I do to make life easier in outnumbered situations with a guadian. These fights were harder since the people we fought against were decent and invuln/dodge my shatters. Current state of WvW, thieves/pu mesmers roaming, guild groups hammer warriors/guardians, etc.. Its been boring lately due to recent patches and not looking forward to all the nerfs.

Thanks! Lol maybe, I just use this setup so people remember who bursted them. Then they’ll be like a colorful charr from tM killed me, facepalm it was Joe..

Thanks! Maybe ever since we hit bronze league and its been either nobody to fight or megazergs.. Really giving 2nd thoughts about xferring to a different server for the first time finally.

Thanks! I can see why theres not too many guides for mesmers. Making guide videos/editting takes a lot of work, even though it was a tip/trick video. :\

The zerg army chased my guild™ to spawn because we kept poking at them for a while and killing off all their over extenders. So they went from southwest tower to or south east spawn but ended up dying from the legendary defenders lol.

You’re welcome, the anti thief tips were from copying thieves skills.
The best one I thoght was counting to 3 after they cnd then blur frenzy the 4th second
to avoid damage from the backstab.
Examples were using sword iLeap and leaving the clone out, then port after was similar to thieves shadow return sword skill.
Magic bullet + covering it up w/ character model is similar to thieves #4 shadow shot to gap close/port to a target.

The tips work well against average thieves, but when you fight against thieves like Mugi then you die regardles, since he plays patient and waits you out :\

I’m just gonna continue to play shatter, but I’m worried about the celestial nerf the most.

Also, thanks for the thief fighting tips. People tend to not listen to thief mains when we give advice on how to counter us.

Tyvm, feedback like these always motivate me to keep making more vids and keep playing shatter mesmer. Its completely normal to lose your cool getting pressured by a lot of people, mistakes tend to happen if its many people, nobody is perfect. ^^

We’ll see after the celestial nerf or if they really nerf it. If so, I’ll keep you guys updated on the builds. This nerf alone doesn’t stop me from playing shatter mesmer, I’ll keep playing it as if its still viable. Despite many nerfs, shatter mesmer is still viable from my experience.

Well Joe, after a couple weeks of testing other builds beside shatter (like full mantra Mesmer, the glassy kind ) this vid convinced me to come back to shatter again, as it is my favorite type of spec. Hopefully I will see you on EoTM soon and get some nice fights in <3. Also, just some tips, but in case your opponents start to predict you, a trick I like to do is dodge, mirror images while dodging, and then mind wrack. Most people don’t really expect this combo, especially on staff, to deliver such burst. Finally, lets hope anet doesn’t nerf us shatter mesmers too hard, I refuse to go to pu builds. Even since they buffed it, it has been way too strong and I consider it “the easy way out” with roaming.
