This is my current build, i’m pretty new to mesmer,

http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=VO;4VPVz0z6cV-71;9;49T;0T0;0389;425ALNk0;26TsW6TsWt-Fv-A35;34VCWCXMYM3Y_-kVJ-2i;9;9;9;9;9;9;14-6Y

I´d appreciate any help to improve it and to clarify some doubts,

a) At this moment i´m using solder instead of knight on my head / chest and leg armor but i think that my critical chanche (44%) is not enough to take full advantage of my critical damage furthermore my survivability is ok,

b) Shall i keep using the superior sigil of fire on my great sword or shall i switch to bloodlust?

c) Shall i switch the superior sigil of force with a superior sigil of accuracy on my pistol?

d) My traits are ok? There´s some way to improve it? I´m missing something?

Right now i´m having a blast with my mesmer, and any input will be much appreciate !

Don’t talk to me about toughness and vitality, damage avoidance is all in this game

I assume you’re using this in WvW due to the rune/food choices? A couple suggestions:

  • Trait wise, I would look at trading out compounding power for precise wrack. That will help land crits with MW if you’re concerned about your crit chance being too low.
  • One flaw I see is that you have zero condition removal, which could trip you up in WvW. I would use sigils of generosity or purity to account for that. In PvE, conditions aren’t nearly as much of an issue, so you could go with your current setup there.
  • If you’re not using this in WvW, the rune/food choices may be a bit overkill. You would be better off with something else in PvE.

Switching the Invades Mask, Body, and Legs will increase your overall damage by about 5%. Your Armor goes up by 2% and your health goes down by 8%.

So you are essentially trading some defense for offense.

For a blurred frenzy there’s a 75% chance to trigger the sigil with the knights and a 70% chance to trigger the sigil with the soldiers. If it does trigger the knights does about 5% more damage. However, remember that this effect is limited because of the internal cooldown.

Anything I post is just the opinion of a very vocal minority of 1.
