1. Blink not blinking (global – the same with ele’s and guard’s teleports).
2. Phantasmal Warden.
3. iLeap pathing issues and swapping issues.
(4. Broken swiftness on focus.)

+1 for this. It’s not like the iWarden is even that hard to counter. You can, you know, take 5 steps in any direction away from the iWarden and watch as it does its pretty little axe dance.

4. Ground targetting hits your feet if your mouse is over just about ANY UI element. Seriously, I need to aim within the 25% of the screen that the UI gives me? There is some convenience in this, but I shouldn’t have to fight with the camera to throw Chaos Storm/elementalist skills at players on walls. (Or Blink up cliffs.)
As I dont use focus, I only have a top 1:

Its so god kitten annoying its unbelievable. If it isnt going to happen or path properly against the current location of the target then at least dont let me click it kitten . A failure rate of 60-80% isnt acceptable in competetive gameplay.
1. iLeap – fix it, replace it, I don’t care.
2. iWarden – fix it.
3. iMage – fix it, replace it, I don’t care.
Honourable mentions:
- Illusions targeting wrong targets – either from DE or skills.
- Blinding Befuddlement – remove the ICD
- Into the Void – change the 1s ICD to 0.5s ICD. There is already a casting animation for Temporal Curtain, so adding the 1s on top of that was too much IMO. Needs to be reduced to 0.5s at the most.
- Blurred Frenzy – 12s cooldown for evade is too long. Revert to 10s base, 8s traited. Needs fewer hits to minimise retal damage.
- Blink – failure rate is too high. Yes it works most of the time, but still, fails too often to move you where you placed the cursor, on terrain where it should work.

I’ll just say the reason I don’t want them to fix iElasticity yet is because staff is already the cornerstone of more popular builds, whereas sword and focus have gone from pole position to last place and so need fixing more desperately than giving staff clones elasticity.
1. iLeap. Our guild was playing in Courtyard for fun. With all the pretty shrubs, bushes and rocks…it NEVER worked. Even when you’re in open WvW or PvE, to land it once you’re like, “OMG it worked!!” It has been broken for two years….But leaps in this game generally don’t work. I know the ele earth dagger leap has the same issues. It’s just that the issues with Mesmer leap is further exacerbated by the fact that it’s a swap with a kittened clone that can’t path correctly.
2. iWarden. It works 100% of the time 70% of the time. I’m leveling a new mesmer just cuz I want a pretty pixie like sylvari. It is insane how many fights I’ve been screwed over cuz the iWarden is just standing there looking stupid.
3. Illusionairy Elasticity. Remember those patch notes that said it was fixed? It wasn’t.

These aren’t real bugs guys, they’re all working as intended. Here are some real bugs;
1) Mesmer being able to create clones with dodge roll, when they already have 3 illusions up.
2) Staff 2 should only work when you have a target available, because otherwise we can teleport forward with about face and that is basically hacking.
3) Cancel casting the greatsword auto attack increases it’s dps and gives us a ranged advantage and is a form of glitching the game, which is hacking.

It’s because unless you drop the curtain directly on the mob (doesn’t work if they’re tall/shoot it from high up) you have to drop the curtain so the visual actually touches the projectile. Wall of Reflection is a lot larger (bigger vertical axis) which means it can actually hit things. Additionally, a player can jump while using WoR to make it go even higher at the risk of things hitting the floor right in front of the wall (engie nades aimed very, very well which doesn’t really happen in PvE).
1. Triumphant Distortion
This skill is supposed to have no ICD. It’s not broken because Invulnerability doesn’t stack intensity so it would be like stacking Chaos Armor. Sure, you can’t get hit, but how many things can you kill within 3 seconds as a Mesmer? Can you do it indefinitely? Also, in PvE, if you can’t get hit long enough, you can’t hit mobs either, so you’d just hit yourself in the face by staggering it too hard. Also, you (Arenanet) did say that we would get it with no ICD.
2. Winds of Chaos
Seriously. Nobody wants Vulnerability on a 33% chance 3/4s cast time.
3. Null Field
Nobody notices this but: “rips all boons from foes, and cures all conditions on allies.” does not translate to “Pulses every second for 5 seconds targeting only 5 allies and enemies.” I don’t care where you learned English, those are two fundamentally different statements and if we’re going by the standard Mesmer skill updates, it would mean that the functionality of the skill should match the description, not the other way around. Otherwise, revert the iLeap.

Blink does need fixes for terrain, but I would quite honestly accept anet’s standard terrain response for bridges if you’re referring to the EotM ones(or any other bridge/wall/terrain that is destroyable, they all have this problem). Game engines of any kind have a difficult time calculating complex movement(allowable teleports, AI pathing) on surfaces that are, code-wise, just a glorified ally/enemy that you can walk on. Any game you might give me as an example of it working fine most likely doesn’t really have “complex movement” as much as they have code that is like “right, physically move in this direction at a speed of 12,000 miles per hour for three frames.”
To employ a solution similar to that would require a lot more server optimization… and judging by the fact that apparently summoned minions create extreme server performance issues, I would say GW2 is anything but finely optimized.
In the mean time, Blink is still very powerful, and lets us get places we probably really shouldn’t be able to go instantly. As that would probably be fixed if they DID optimize it better, for this particular skill I think we should accept what we got.

NO. THIS IS THE BEST THING ABOUT BLINK. LEAVE MY SURFING MESMER ALONE.
1. Absolutely screwball pathing/ANet’s kittened-up LoS implementation.
2. “Pet” AI in general. Ironically, Mesmer has the “best” of this, but it could still be a lot better
3. Revert at least 50-60% of the nerfs the class has eaten since launch. With the game being what it is now, those artifically make a Mesmer far less that what they logically should be.
Honorable Mention:
Trait consolidation needs to happen. Seriously.
Other 80s: Any but Warrior
I wish they rework on ileap. The clone isn’t leaping, it’s sliding. That’s why it gets stuck on a terrain. Only works against noob necro who stands stationary while fighting. Using “swap” followed by sword#2, swinging swords where no enemies near me, and I look like an idiot. If they can’t fix it, at least rename it from ileap to “islide”.
- Fix iLeap/swap or provide a viable alternative that can work for WvW mesmers too.
- Fix staff bugs (stuck on phase retreat and illusionary elasticity not applying on clones)
- Fix iMage not hitting moving targets (or rework it completely: I would love another AoE damage phantasm option)

Ups … since i play only GS/Sword/Pistol … one other thing should really be fixed!
4. Stuck on phase retreat (staff) … dont know, how often this killed me in WvW
Anyway … some kind of reaction from an official would be nice, if some of the points mentioned will be finally fixed xD
