Torch in WvW
Once again, you’re missing the point. WvW / PvE is gear dependent. Why should we have to spend 25g just to replace our gear so the CB build is viable when the nerf us actually a bug due to the poor LOS algorithm gw2 has? I don’t have a spare 25g. If the output was reduced 15% many would not have cared, but this isn’t the case.
what you were doing is done better/kill quicker on a pistol or GS so no, Torch is as useless as it was before.100% of joke damage increase isn’t saying much and its 5 years cooldowns is just no thanks.

You can get 40g a day easily if you farm in Orr, even without Magic Find.
Putting that aside, this video was main demonstrating that Torch is now viable.
As someone else mentioned, I could have finished that Guardian a lot quicker and maybe even killed that Ranger had I had a Pistol offhand, but I like The Prestige a lot for the stealth, as it acts as a target dump.
That gives me 3 target dumps, making it easier to hide among my clones.
As I said in the other thread, I do now acknowledge the changes to Greatsword and Phantasms (phants not spawning due to being blocked or missing) as a considerable nerf that was uncalled for, however I still don’t have much of a reason to oppose the LoS changes, I just wish they’d fix the LoS bugs before changing skills to rely on LoS.
^^
I’ve enjoyed your videos before, but really feel that you could utilize shatter a lot more. I run 0/20/20/0/30 IP condition shatter build, and players drop a lot faster with 8 stacks of confusion from CoF, prior to even touching Confusing Images and iMage.

I think he uses a lot more toughness and vit in his gear than the glass cannon GS builds, so you have to account for his better survivability.

Definitely agree. I ran a version of this build (just more focused on condition dmg and less survivability) for dungeons earlier this week and just loved all the confusion stacks, especially when you also trait for confusion on blind and blind on glamour. And confusion on enter/exit glamour lol..
In your gear video you said you had tough/Cdmg from Orr. I thought the karma gear in Orr was tough/Vit?

There are also 4p of Condition/Toughness/Pre gear.
The new Apothecary gear is also nice — Healing/Toughness/Condition.

I do apologize for a low quality video, my PC has died and I’m using an alternative.
Anywho, my goal with this build is to stack up conditions. For me, as weird as this sounds, my burst comes from confusions. So when I get bored of the fight, I’ll shatter and get (using torch) 14 stacks of confusion on the target, which is around 2-2.4k damage per enemy action.
My reason for this is because you do, once and a while, meet players who don’t fall for confusion tricks or just avoid your confusion-dealing abilities. So rather than be shut down due to this, I’m still able to fight back using bleeds and burns.
As for my armour, Orr gear is spread over 5 temples. There’s several sets of gear for each armour rank (Light, med, heavy) and one of said sets has toughness/condition/precision.
Sadly, only 4 parts of this set exist. So I use bog standard Rampager in the chest and boot slots to boost my HP a little.

Unfortunately, to get confusion on blind and blind on glamour, you’d have to give up IP — which isn’t a tradeoff I’m remotely willing to do for my playstyle.
Confusion on Blind is actually quite nice as a standalone, however.

Do you remember where you got the Tough/Cdmg gear from, or the name of it?
Sadly not… Just wait until the temples are clear and then look through the armour they sell for ones that have the correct stats.
43,000 Karma each, so it might take a while for you to get them unless you have a solid way of farming Karma.

Why should I? I would have to farm Orr with a bugged glass cannon. The only way this can be fixed is to:
1. Fix the LOS issue. (Not going to happen – it’s been like this since the beta).
2. Reverse the LOS changes. Probably not going to happen.
3. All gear have the same stats (similar to another game that just released a huge content update), thus we can change builds at will to combat their lack of testing. (Not going to happen).
So out of all the points, #2 has the best chance in my opinion.

You can sub the missing pieces with Khilbron gear. It has Precision, Toughness and Condition damage.

I had to farm in bad gear to get my better gear.
We all had too. Stop making excuses, otherwise it just looks like you’re a mad kid who thinks everything is handed to him on a silver platter.
You wanna be strong, you work for it. If your build is no longer viable, work towards a build that is.
If Condition Bunker was rendered useless due to a nerf I’d farm gold and karma to rebuild myself. Then again I won’t need to farm gold, I have tons put aside for emergencies.
I’m guessing you didn’t farm for emergency gold and decided to only do WvW?
Typical of the glass cannon stereotype = n=
And then when something changes you blame the game or its devs, not your own laziness.

True, true. It was amusing nonetheless. =)
