Now..it only last 5 second upon created… as we all know phantasm do not hold agro well.. not likely anything will hit the phantasm we summon within the first five second..

I feel like the immortal mesmer and other high retaliation builds suffer immensely from this. Retaliation is their highest source of damage…. You probably can see where this is going now.

I was very excited for this patch. I dreamt of not having a single useless trait, all useless ones got reworked and what came out of it was a beautiful and deeo game where you could spend hours just over thinking which traits to out in each slot.

Right now all theyre doing is forcing us to take other useless or semi usefull traits because the very usefull ones from the past were made not very usefull…
They literally said they were not goin to nerf much…

Well it’s unavoidable if going into inspiration, and the adept major trait is worth the 10 points – mender’s purity, medic’s feedback, glamour mastery and now compounding celerity (I do love this change).

But I wouldn’t sink 5 points alone into inspiration anymore.
Its either 0 or >10.

It’s not something that you’ll choose not to take, being a 5 point minor in a strong support traitline. They may as well have removed it completely though, it no longer has any effect on any build in any way.

I’m seriously considering dropping the line altogether, vengeful images was a critical part of the build. Five seconds is nowhere near useful, it will often take longer than that just for an illusion to draw aggro. Build diversity my @55.

i’m too hurt broken now to have any thought about anything mesmer related.

-confusion on staff auto attack
pvper: oh no mesmer have confusion on staff it’s too op there’s nothing you can do about it, just remove it
anet: uh sorry baby, sure, we remove confusion from staff attack, here take a candy and a bag of loot.
- confusion on chaos storm (randomly geerated)

pvper: oh no mesmer still have confusion on aoe every 25 seconds is so op, we can’t play pvp, remove it
anet: sure, sorry if we dare to give confusion to a chaos based attack, we should have thought it better…

- confusion on scepter autoattack
pvper (now more confident): mesmer still have confusion on a condition damage based skill…
anet: sorry we forgot about it, we’ll remove it right away, we’ll let them use the #3 scepter confusion just to pretend confusion is still viable somewhere, maybe they’ll not notice how useless is in pve

-confusion on underwater trident
pvper: seriously anet? mesmer can beat us underwater
anet: oh let’s turn it into bleeding
pvper: not enough, they still win
anet: what do you think about we make it last 1 second instead of 2?
pvper: they still do confusion on shatter
anet: we nerf it right away child, here, roll a guardian and kill them all!

-illusion spawning
pvper: oh mesmer spawn too many illusion too fast and they do damage
anet: ok, blind them, dodge them, or just hide behind something so they can’t do it, and about damage, illusion now do nothing especially in pve, we think it’s fair to punish mesmers even there, those kittens are out of control…
pvper: not enough, they still win and i don’t want to learn to counter them
anet: ok, we’ll remove illusion celerity back where only few build can use it

-portal
wvwvwer: mesmer do portal to often, it’s op, they portal bomb everywhere and portal golems to gates, it’s not fair to give them something tactical to use, we can do it too, but we don’t want them to do it.
anet: kitten please, this was ill conceived, just let them suffer a longer cooldown
wvwvwer: it’s till to effective people are still using it
anet: oh sorry, let them portal no more than 20 people and make the exit last less, what about 10 seconds even if the tooltip says 20? they will not notice…
mesmer: the portal exit last only 10 seconds but the tooltip says 20 seconds, can you fix this please?
anet: mh sure, now the tooltip says 10 secs happy? you daring kittenes!

-phase retreat
pvper: i don’t think i like this
anet: don’t worry, they will often phase retreat underground, they’ll be stuck for you to kill and we will never fix this.

- blurred frenzy
pvper: invulnerability? seriously? do you want still mesmer in pvp?
anet: actually not, we are trying to get rid of them, we’ll make this an evasion, be sure to have retaliation on when they do it, so you cna easily, and we will raise the cooldown. oh wait we can do better, we can nerf also the autoattack on the sword, better do it in advance, ehi you guardian be sure to save yourself when they use sword so their autoattack is less effective while you have boon on ok?

-buff on scepter trait
mesmer: we should have some buff after all these nerfs
anet: sure take 200 more condition while using a scepter, and take this nice new condition that you can situationally use…
(running far from mesmer) poor kittenes, like scepter do acual condition now… ahahahahaah.

Thats a really long post, i read it and, well you have an interesting way of saying things. I wont be able to use the quote function because im on my mobile though.
About confusion on chaos storm, i think i prefer it the way it is now! Confusion is is just another damaging vondition, while all vonditions the chaos storm gives hampering effects, which makes chaos storm shine for the defensive purposes (in my oppinion).
If i were to rate chaos storm’s offensive and defensive capabilities it would looke something like this.: offensive 30%, defensive 85%, conclusion: its amazing ;D (no nerfs please). If confusion and maybe other damaging conditions were added it would be offensive: 50%, defensive: 50%.
What im tryingto say here, it would be less attractive to me if used as an offensive skill.

I should go sleep now read the forums some more untill i fall asleep… Its 1am >_<.
