Guild Wars 2

It’s been a while since my last roaming build (old pre-specializations condi shatter, you’re truly missed), but I’m back. This time, with a completely different concept I’ve been theorycrafting for a lot of time.
HoT has brought a ridiculous amount of boon duration and, after looking at some traits and skills here and there, I found something unique, something never seen, I could manage to perma several boons while being offensive as hell (muahahahaha).
Starting with Staff-Sw/Sh, I quickly found the burst was missing. Then, the idea of the old double ranged mesmer came, and kitten ! the synergy is exquisite and I’m having a lot of fun with it.

Its Dueling/Chaos/Chrono from what I see in the video, maybe leeching sigil?

I always enjoy watching roaming video, particularly when players have good skills. But to be fair your build isn’t quite suitable for roaming, unless you’re absolutely confident or going with friends. Most of the opponents shown are easy kiting ones and they didn’t actually put enough pressure on you. There are many moments when your life is low but they didn’t attempt to give that final push.

Unfortunately double range shatter is still mainly food for decent power thief (which are prevalent in WvW due to Dash disengaging ability) and your build don’t have much tools to counter that. Also focus fire will be your greatest enemy

Interesting choice with quickness on shatter though, seeing how you tend to be deficient with illusions even when running dueling, do you notice any significant increase in personal damage when you use that trait over chronophantasma?

Nice video, the fight you had with the human berserker really shows why power mesmer isn’t a great thing anymore. The cleave, the pressure, the regen and certainly without the permanent protection given from your build you’d have died a lot sooner.

For a time I was running duelling instead of domination for the blinds, extra fury for phantasms and myself but have since switched back to domination for the boon rip and straight up damage mods to stand a chance vs scrappers, eles etc.
