Vitality from armor scales up Illusions HP
Is this intentional? This’ll be a first since I thought illusions don’t inherit mesmer’s vitality, well, base value. Wiki doesn’t say specifically ‘armor’. Having some more health is always nice, but will it make +vitality armors more appealing? There are several different ones that give vitality.
Smells like a bug to me, since it only works with armor.
I smell a hotfix. Dear God Mesmer illusions can now last 0 seconds longer!? Can’t have that now.
IMO, the “bug” is that only armour affects Phantasm health and not other sources of Vitality.

Well, I won’t keep my hopes up, except for Robert to confirm if this is a bug or not. With the bugs that came into last patch, it’s not surprising that may be a “bug”.
Would be nice if Toba is right, although it still wouldn’t make any difference. But baby steps, baby steps…
Slightly off topic question here, but how are you seeing the exact health values of your phantasms? As far as I’ve been able to find there is only the near-useless health bar that doesn’t show any values.

Which reminds me, the dev did mention FULL ascended gear are required for completing the raid but no agony resistance is needed. I take it they mean hard stats, but how would our phantasm fare against raid bosses’ attacks? Another drastic DPS drop for mesmer again?

- No Mesmers anywhere are getting any benefit out of this, nor will they, since all Mesmers run either full zerker, or full rabid?

I doubt we will keep those stats. I beleve with HoT we get all the stat combinations we need to make build where we can focus on what we want to.
Why would I as mesmer, dealing “meh” dmg and “yay” support in a dangerous area like the raids or the jungle keep using glass cannon gear? To increase my damage from very low to low? I pretty much beleve that (especially IF the phantasms will inherit vita / toughness) we will gear up to either vitality, toughtness or healingpower instead of power. Our reflects still benefit from precision and ferocity, while being able to full support our allies in hardcore content.
Or, what also might be, they announce us a hardcore engame like they once did with fotm wich will be hard in the beginning and after a year we all are in the zerker meta again
