Q:
Warden's Feedback Trait Question
A:
Description of the trait says “focus skills”, which mean every skills of the focus, Temportal Curtain and iWarden.
I just randomly try Temporal Curtain on this random Harpy Hunter near me. When I’m far, the projectiles aren’t reflected, while when I’m close, they are reflected. It seems like it’s just a mini wall on the ground.
As for iWarden, I’d assume his whirlwind reflect projectiles, instead of just absorbing them.
Hi Tobeyeus,
It effects both of them
So yes the iWarden does reflect with the trait.
So Temporal Curtain creates 2 walls now? Or just that the projectile reflection area doesn’t match and visual effect size?
More of the fact that Temporal Curtain’s height is not very tall. In fact, I want to say it seems to be half the height of a Sylvari. Its VERY easy to have something shoot over the wall without meaning too.

iwarden only reflects while spining
I use the focus and Warden’s Feedback extensively in WvW.
Both focus skills reflect projectiles with this ability. You won’t notice the numbers unless you’re relatively close to the target that gets hit by the reflected projectile (think like 1200-1500 range – approx the same range as the greatsword).
Temporal Curtain’s reflect area precisely matches the wall effect on the ground – yes it is affected by the Z-axis. It’s very easy to test with a ranger that’s shooting at you in medium range. Drop the curtain, then keep it between you and the ranger (make sure to giggle)
Another very easy way to test these abilities is to drop the wall/warden near a gate that’s being seiged in WvW (be on top of the gate, near where the oil spawns to help angle curtain right). You’ll see the numbers pop up from people in the back of the zerg.
I really like temporal curtain with the reflection ability – it is useful in all pvp scenarios. Anti-range with the reflection, anti-melee with the snare / speed / pull. Extraordinarily useful when running from a zerg. Combined with the warden, it’s a very good area-denial offhand.
Yeah I discovered how incredibly useful (and fun) focus is only recently (wish I had sooner). Especially in WvW, reflecting abilities back is not only funny but extremely useful. It’s also good during sieges to cast on the walls to pull people off them, as well.
Pretty much everything evocati said.
Keep in mind it doesn’t reflect everything — just projectiles. Some skills are not considered projectiles even though they fly at you like a projectile. The same applies for ground-targeted AoEs — they will not be reflected either.
@juno
On the ground-targetted AoEs? Its strange, at least in PvE.
Some ground target AoEs, like Catapult shots, actually can be Absorbed(Mimic) or Reflected(Mimic/Feedback/iWarden). The key is to actually have the projectile HIT the yourself/field/phantasm before it hits the ground. So for Catapult Projectiles outside Arah, you gotta get the Reflector in the middle of the Red Ring of Death, and probably a few steps towards the Catapult, so that the projectile hits the Reflecting subject before it hits the ground and blows up.
WvWvW on the other hand, Siege Weapons are no longer able to be reflected if I recall right.
Elementalist style vertical attack AoE drops are not projectiles. (At least, I’ve never had luck).
Beams, like our own Confusing Images, are not a projectile and not reflected.
