What counters Polymorph Moa
The trick with moa is to use it when the opponent is afk. Or downed.
@feliscatus: you are right. time warp and mass also counter moa.

It requires los and can be evaded/blocked etc, so you really do need to be careful about how/when you use it.
One of the many reasons I love mass invis. Far more reliable.
And if they continue buffing moa skills then the person being moa’d may soon become more useful than a crappy ranger :/

At this rate it should be turned into a buff you cast on allies: turn your allies into unstoppable Moa juggernauts! Run with a greatsword and a sword/torch and pretend you are a ranger with a really effective pet!
Got Moa’d today by another Mesmer who was loosing a 1v1 with me. Killed him in Moa form. Got called a hacker.
Had to chuckle.

@OP I think that’s exactly how the skill should be working, in regards to the recharge. If you miss a skill, or someone drops into stealth or behind a wall while you’re casting, and it just cancels itself with the 5 second recharge (or whatever the cancel recharge is), there’d be no point in dodging in the first place. That’s one thing that makes the combat in this game so great. If you’re good enough to use terrain to your advantage, or use a well-timed stealth, then your opponent has wasted a skill, and you are therefor rewarded for a good evasion. If every time someone’s skill didn’t land properly due to block/evasion/obstruction, it would take a HUGE element out of combat in the game

I’ve gone on Moa offensives before too…they usually don’t expect it. IMO Moa is only really effective as mediocre CC when you already have an advantage. It can certainly cement the advantage or panic a novice player, but otherwise it really is not that good. Mass Invis is really a solid elite, and never leaves my bar except in PvE or golem rushes for Time Warp.
Moa works best when the enemy is panicking and/or raging about it. They’ll try to run away, which can be the worst thing to do.
It works worst when someone predicts it (long cast, easy to avoid), or when they do attempt to kill you in the form.
Get a condi build, use scepter #2, apply 8k torment on block, use diversion, cast moa, let it run and die. Win.

Or… Power build. Mass invis, summon phantasms. Win.
