What do you think about this (bunker) build?
Signet of bump!
Your Armor is pretty high, but that’s it.
Restorative Mantras will kick in after one of your Mantras is empty and the CD is ready again. So if you are not planning to waste your charges this trait will give you a heal for recasting Mantra of Recovery.
The theoretical 100% regen up time becomes 0% uptime against a profession with any aoe and with that your protection is gone also.
That’s already two flaws in the build.
I think it is possible to find a playable build in that direction, but not with using Restorative Mantras without Mantra of Pain, or with relying on boons that can be killed.
Edit: To help you at least a bit :/ : Try a build with Restorative Illusions and remove the “I cast mantras all the time mess”. With that trait you will apply pressure to heal and not running circles to heal.

I use restorative mantras to heal when i need to recharge my mantras,i don’t waste my mantras on purpose: i plan to use this build for very, very long fights to defent a point, mantras recharge fast enough and can be used at any time after charged,so with a good amount of healing power they heal quite alot.
Regeneration can also be obtained from chaos armor, wich can be obtained in two ways:with the ability or the leap finisher.
An enemy can’t have an unlimited resource of AoE,i guess, and phantasms are never near each other for much time, also,i have 1 phantasm with high health that i can spawn at any time, one that reflect bullets and one with the staff, one stays melee, one stationary and one ranged.
Also,if an opponent takes time to destroy my phantasms,i’ll have more time to spam clones with the scepter, apply condition, heal myself, and if needed to charge my mantras.
I know they are two flaws, but if you outplay your opponent they aren’t anymore i guess
and, generally each phantasm stays very, very far from each other, unless just casted.
Oh yeah, and killing phantasms with AoE abilities will also kill the clones, that will result in continue conditions…
Anyway, later i’ll test the build in sPvP,thank you for your thoughts,i’ll see how the build performs without restorative mantras too

Outplaying an opponent makes everything viable :p
But giving an opponent on your level an edge by playing a not perfect build is not a good thing to do.
I see the point now why Restorative Illusions is not even an option, since you want to rely heavily on phantasms.
Maybe someone who thinks better of phantasms than me might help you here :p
Edit: Yes testing a build is always a good thing to do :p
Tested it in 2 games sPvP:
1st game: 6 kills,never died,5 points neutralized,6 captured. top captures.
2nd game: 7 kills,never died,7 points neutralized,7 captured,top points neautralized,top points captured,top kills.
It seems to go very well imo x)
Once i’ve been sorrounded by a thief, two mesmer and a guardian, that was the only time i’ve popped mass invisibility, then i survived alone about 20-30 seconds, after that time i had 40% hp and my team reached the point.
Oh and the team points:
1st game: 500/355 points
2nd game: 500/277 points
I guess i should’ve recorded it,but i’m too lazy to download any software (or it can be recorded from gw2 itself?)
I believe that it works, I just think this build can be refined further.
How much did Restorative Mantras help?
How long is the uptime of your Phantasms?
Do you feel you are a better bunker than an ele or guardian?

How much did Restorative Mantras help?* Greatly: they heal alot and kept me from death once (while kept me healthy during hardest fights)*
How long is the uptime of your Phantasms? Depends about wich phantasm and against wich class, also against wich enemy:
an iWarden against a ranger can last over 10 seconds, while a iDefender against a crit build warrior gets melted in a bunch of seconds.
Anyway,i always had at least 1 phantasm up,and usually 2 of them.
Do you feel you are a better bunker than an ele or guardian?I didn’t really try bunker ele and bunker guardian, however i’ve met a bunker elementalist in my 2nd match and i handled it quite well.Probably not better but as viable.
Ok,done a 3rd game…and it went horribly: 3 thieves were running around together with a full crit build: even with the armor i had and the heals they could kill me before i’ve been able to pop my mass invisibility…what the…i wish i had a block such as warrior’s…
(i’m so sad i managed to script some modifications for pokemon fire red…lol…)
edit
done another 2 spvp games: in the 1st i’ve tanked 4 players while we passed from around 230 points to 500…3 rangers and 1 necro
in the 2nd one i’ve died once because of a mesmer who morphed me while casting mass invisibility x.x
now i’m confused :s

This was my bunker build when I still played tpvp. You won’t be killing anyone though lol
You can swap the shatter = remove condition for shatter = heal and replace mimic with null field if you want.

Since you were happy with your build, I stopped repling.
This is the build I thought would fit your liking, without ignoring the mesmers main mechanic shatters, or not using our most powerful skill portal.
It is similar to the build FLIMP posted.
If you want to be mobile defending two points, or the situation requiers it use portal.
If you want to defend one point, use null field.
But maybe the worst build ever for you :p
You might want to switch Chaos III to Chaos V.

I threw this together taking your basic build, and mixing it up.
Ahh you people and your terrible mantra builds. Keep trying, one day you’ll realise they just don’t compete vs other classes for bunker.
Mantra builds may give you random success in your typical sPvP match, to be truly fair regarding the builds’ usability you will have to run it in the environment it is intended for.
You want to run tournaments? Use it there. My guess is that your build is going to fall apart in a real match. One of the main strengths of a mesmer is the ability to adapt which Mantra’s allow BUT they have a major downside too and they’re frankly not nearly as good at bunkering as Ele’s, Guardians, Engi’s. The upside is that they have amazing team support so if you want to use this build in conjunction with a Condi necro/engi/ranger you can seriously kick was butt.

Why would you ever use Warden’s feedback without a focus equipped? O.o

That build looks interesting,i’ll check it out soon ^.^

Without restorative mantras i don’t see the need of mantra of recovery; ether feast might be better for this build.
Except for that,i’ll check that one too ^.^

I didn’t want to focus on mantras, and i didn’t want to make a mantra build: i’ve tried to make a build that could sustain long fights (i love those long, endless fights) and restorative mantras plus the mantra of recovery made me think about a great way to recover HP during a fight, also mantra of concentration is a mesmer’s best source of stability, and i’d have used arcane thievery instead of mantra of resolve, however restorative mantras made me prefer such ability.
IMO,what this build is truly missing,is a reliable block: right now the only way to block melee attacks (or any non-projectile attack) is to use chaos storm and hope to get a few aegis…
