A reoccurring topic on the Mesmer forum is the lacking aoe options for the class and how it hurts Mesmers in wall sieges and in tagging mobs in large scale DEs.

Do people feel a 3 second pulse (with a pulse every second) being added to Mind Stab would help? It’s still not a spammable AOE, but maybe in conjunction with another abilities, it would help with the issue.

And increase the area a little bit. Now that the last patch broke the GS build, something should be done to fix it. Right now Mind Stab is not worth using it in any situation: it’s like having one less button in our skill bar.

It still strips boons.

It would help a bit, but the area is still too small to be considered a true aoe.
I’d be happy to swap boon stripping for a blast finisher though. Or a launch like somebody suggested in another topic.

Oh good gravy, a launch on mind stab would be awesome. I guess that would make greatsword a much better chasing/cc weapon too, eh?

I really like the idea of launch with it. It would fit the animation that’s for sure. I still use it to strip boons, but otherwise not so much.

I wish it would launch too. Help with kiting.

Launch or blast finisher would rock, but more than anything it needs a bigger AOE.
