I left the game about 6 months ago, i come back and my mesmer is very weak it seems… and glamour doesnt work for confusion?? What would you all suggest??

Take a look at the build and guide list stickied at the top of the forums. It has a lot of fantastic builds and guides for you to browse.

are confusion builds any good? i heard it was nerfed.

For what? SPvP, wvw pve? Confusion was nerfed , most run shatter or phantasm builds now

Since you mentioned a glamor build in your original post, I’ll assume you’re asking your question in regard to WvW.

Currently in WvW, people are using shatter, phantasm, and condition builds very successfully. Do note that for condition builds, confusion is far less viable than other conditions because it requires a fair bit of effort to apply it (Confusing Images and Cry of Frustration are very easy to dodge) and as such, it is ineffective against most skilled players.

Shatter builds are arguably the most popular and well-rounded builds. Osicat’s guide at the top of the Mesmer forums has numerous shatter builds that are popular. If you are looking for a condition build, the one in my signature works very well for me, but there are numerous other ones posted on the forums which seem to be comparably successful. As Pyroatheist said, the build thread at the top of the forum is a good place to start looking. Additionally, people post new builds here every couple of days, so browse through a few pages of the forums to find more detailed build threads, usually with commentary on said builds.

You can run a condition build, but a glamour confusion build is practically impossible now. Most traits got invisible timers :/.

As for your mesmer feeling weak, maybe you just got rusty in those 6 months :P.
