I’m in some what of a crunch. I’m not sure if I should change my runes.
I had full exotics withing the first month of playing the game. No one knew what was best then, and neither did I. I went with divinity runes (then only costing 25 silver a piece).

So right now I have full divinity runes. Now costing 8g a piece (up from 25s when I originally bought them).

I’m not sure if I should change them. I would like to try another set… but changing and not liking the new runes would mean an expensive switch back.

I would like yalls opinion on runes and what a full zerker shatter mesmer should use.

Divinity Runes are pretty awesome in any spec. Consider yourself lucky that you got a full set while they were still cheap.

If you want to experiment with another rune set, either do it in sPvP or buy some karma armor from Orr to play around with.

Divinity runes are a good choice for everything. Quite honestly though, I’d get some black lion kits and sell those buggers….but if you choose to keep them, you’ll definitely be fine.

I looked into them a bit more…keep the runes. Most shatter builds use either runes of air or runes of centaur, for the movement and/or crit damage. As it turns out, divinity provides more crit damage while also adding a large amount of other stats as well. The only actual downside is that they don’t have the capability of providing swiftness, but that isn’t a true deal breaker.

If you really want to salvage them though, transmute them into non-cultural armor, I think that works.

No, the cultural armor is worth 3-4 times more than the runes…

I’d say keep the cultural set w/ divinity. It’s probably cheaper to buy a separate set of armor to test whatever rune sets you wanted to play with. I think you’ll probably end up wanting to go back to Divinity afterwards. They’re expensive for a reason.
