Q:

I’m working on a Restorative Manta healing build. The one thing that is stopping me from completing it is my Rune question. I was hoping the community would have an answer.

A lot of the Superior Runes have a “When you use a healing skill…” you gain swiftness/might/regen/etc. Using ‘Mantra of Pain’ counts towards healing allies, but does it count as a ‘heal’ that would activate the bonus from the Runes?

(I understand there are internal cooldowns on each Rune set to consider)

Thanks for clarification!

A:

All runes with an ‘on-heal’ affect will only proc on the use of the skill in the primary healing slot, regardless of what any other traits and/or utilities actually do.

Yeah only the actual heal skill count.

What’s “best” really depend on your build orientation. For example, you could use the AoE healing rune to boost healing. Note that it not only proc on each tap of the heal, it also proc on channeling. So you get 3 procs for “one” heal if you match the cooldowns. There is no downtime no matter which rune bonus you choose.
