Which Rune set should i use?

Sounds cool have already 2 exotics items with 2 of these runes.
For WvW you can also try Runes of the Privateer. They add less might duration but summon a Parrot (50%, 60s cooldown) which deals good damage and adds +10% to kittenness. They are a common choice for power mesmers, specialy in PvP. Don’t use it for PvE however.
For PvE, Ranger and Scholar are your best options. Ranger is slightly better if you have have trouble staying above 90% health. Remember to keep a mini-pet out to proc the Ranger bonus.

I haven’t touched my mesmer in a while but for some reason I’ve come to the conclusion that runes of the traveler are perfect for the mesmer for all situations except condition builds.
They fix the mesmers lack of speed, add to their boon durations (especially for prismatic understanding and support builds), decrease condition duration which is ALWAYS useful, and supply bonuses to all stats which mesmers can greatly benefit from as it is.
For any sort of WvW/PvP set I would say energy sigils are a must (one on Gs and one on the 2nd weapon set). Then you can use what you want, I personally prefer air or doom. The one that stacks power(bloodlust) isn’t that good in my opinion. I hate it in fact.
It takes a massive amount of time to charge it and if you go into downed state one time, you loose all the stacks and need to charge it again.
WvW: Traveler rune for power builds. Nothing else. Its all about speed. Otherwhise you are the slowest class on the fields.

yep, I don’t see any other choice really for wvw.
Really looking forward the Traveler’s runes. Feel like a speed boosting will be good for mesmer. Though it doesnt decrease condition duration on me as Doomz said.
The only thing that doesnt fit to me about Traveler’s is that only give +36 to all stats, while choosing another set, could give around 175 and 100 to a specific stat.
But i guess it isn’t much important. What do you think?

As other’s have said, for WvW, especially as a mesmer traveler’s is my go to rune set. I’ve messed around with some other builds that use different runes and yes they may be a tad stronger, I just couldn’t catch or get away from anything. I use them on my power build and on my condi/hybrid build (yes i use them on my hybrid build, 90% condi duration cheese please )

Hands down traveller’s.
Its the most flexible runeset for most situations. Once you go Traveller’s you’ll rarely use anything else.
In WvW occasionally switch out to Melandru for whatever is your bunker set.
In PvE Travellers is actually pretty good, there are some better sets for DPS, in particular those that stack a lot of might you may switch to for some boss fights in dungeons, but even in dungeons and fractals traveller’s is just soooooooo good that I stopped carrying my other sets. It lets you keep up with the party so much better, and the bonusses are great.
There is no reason to use Traveller’s in dungeons. Swiftness from teammates and focus 4 and an alternate Centaur set if absolutely necessary is more than enough speed. Traveller’s does basically 0 DPS bonus (bonus to “all stats” is so diluted it may as well not count) and should therefore never be used.
I mean, this is easy to see. Ranger Runes give 175 precision = 8 % crit chance, 90 ferocity = 6% crit damage. This is substantial! Traveller’s? 26 precision = 1% crit chance. 26 power = 1% damage bonus or so. 26 ferocity = 1.5% crit damage. Basically nothing.
Boon duration? Useless most of the time, as the only time you provide boons is with a big Signet of Inspiration flip, but really other team members should be responsible for might. Condition Duration? That one is actually a complete joke.
And this is completely ignoring the 7% damage bonus from Ranger on top of everything.
Friends don’t let friends use Traveller’s in dungeons. With Ranger being so cheap, there’s no reason not to.
As a ‘reflect build’(and one of the only people who ever even mention it exists) you want a crit based rune set (since reflected projectiles use your crit chance). Personally I run Lyssa when I do reflect which will also give you a boon when you heal and all boons/strip all conditions when you elite(The first being more useful in PvE especially if you use mantra or mirror heal, the second being quite helpful in WvW, especially if you run Mass Invis).

why would you ever run lyssa in PvE when ranger gives you more ferocity and a 7% damage bonus and no useless random boons
Because screw your I just need to do more DPS meta rather then actually try to play a counter-class like it supposed to be. We don’t get a lot of boons easy(unless running Staff) and we have issues with getting rid of conditions without using up valuable utility slots. (Mender’s Purity being the only other easy non-utility way) The excessive boons are just a bonus. Also +Condition Duration which is good if you do all that vulnerability, cripple, immobilze, weapon swap poision…

ok, so nothing having to do with playing your class effectively, and some random commentary about ‘counter-class’ play that lyssa runes don’t actually support, gotit.
Yes, because opening utility slots for better options like more reflects/phantasmal defender has no effect on playing your class…
And converting their conditions into boons… isn’t countering how their trying to beat you… sure. Nor having your conditions last longer… (including non-damage ones).

In PvE the meta is very clear cut because all encounters are 99% predictable and Lyssa runes simple have zero real advantage over other choices for that game mode. WvW meta on the other hand is much more dynamic and there ARE cases where those runes might be worth it, but it’s definitely not a clear winner as some try to pass it as.
If you rely on Lyssa runes to remove/convert conditions then try not to get those conditions put on you in the first place.

And having a separate armor set for just one mode or another is annoying and also it’s obvious that they want to change this meta with the crit damage nerfs so you might as well learn to not depend on pure DPS.

Yeah, I understand where you’re coming from. The difference is that in PvE we don’t DEPEND on dps to survive. We can survive by active defense alone and gear doesn’t make any real difference. This is why we theorycraft and committ to full dps specs because otherwise there is nothing worth gaining.
Going on a bit of a tangent.
If you really want to use poison in PvE, use Conjure poison pistol! (Or at least that’s what I call it on my ele) It may also temporarily fill desires for a main hand condi pistol on mesmers and then make you cry.

24 second base duration of poison on pistol #3 and you can drop it and let teammates pick it up as well. Don’t use sigil of doom in PvE.
