Perky – 80 Norn Guardian
Soapie – 80 Human Ranger
Also, feel free to leave any build suggestions. Currently, this is for solo PvE or DE farming with the occasional dungeon.
Gear is a balanced mix between Carrion (Power, Vitality, Condition) and Rampager’s (Power, Precision, Condition)
I’ve just finished up with the rest of my exotic armor set and I’m going to have some extra money sitting here until I decide what to do with it next.
Thanks.
if you dont have crit dmg, but a lot of precision and condition dmg, i would say that sigil of earth is good choice for you and maybe air/force/accuracy for offhand? or sigil that increase bleed duration by 10% could be nice + i would change a +10% crit chance of mind wrack to something else, you dont have crit dmg so +3% per illusion or +33% confusion could fit better
Thanks for the recommendations, anyone else?
sigil of earth has a 45s icd. this was added during the first stress test after bwe3 and has not been reverted.
IF your build has sharper images, and you are using full berserkers, the precise sigil will add a nice chunk of crit. sure you aren’t spec’d for condition damage, but the bleeds are just more consistent damage added to your DD setup.
Sigil of Superior Earth does not have an internal CD, Dixa. Tested and the fact I can get a stack of 2 Bleeds on a target with nothing but basic sword swings attests to that. If it had an internal 45s icd as you stated, then it would be impossible to get a 2 stack of Bleeds that way (and wouldn’t even see another bleed after the first for at minimum 45 seconds).
Sigil of Earth does have cooldown, but its something much smaller, like 2-3s. Sigil of Rage is the one with the 45s cooldown. Both are very nice choices.
The other sigil I recommend is Battle. You’ll be doing a lot of weapon swapping, so this can give you a nice little boost to your power and condition damage.
The “on kill” sigils are pretty nice too if you’re able to stay alive consistently.
Tests posted on reddit show many of the “on crit” and “on swap” effects share (hidden) internal cooldowns. Limit those to only one of a kind per weapon set, and do not take Rage.
The sigils that stack up to 25 of power, precision, or condition are very good, but you only get to have one stack. It seems to be best to harvest the stack dual-wielding two weapons with two sigils, and then remove the harvesting weapons altogether.
The sigils for +5% damage and +5 crit chance are quite good as well. The damage one is additive to other damage modifiers, and does not stack with itself when dual-wielding. It is unknown whether two crit chance or one crit/one damage stack.
Sigils “on kill” seem to stack without limitations. For instance, over 50 seconds of swiftness have been achieved.
The sigil of strength may or may not be overpriced depending on how many crits you can achieve. As a very rough guide a dps build benefits about 1% from 1 stack of might. A non-dps build benefits more from might stacks, relatively speaking.
The sigil of frailty is an excellent choice for sustained damage when in group with no other way to stack 25 vulnerability (presumably on a boss as everything else will vaporize anyway).
The sigil of air shouldn’t be underestimated and is probably a bargain for crit builds. That said, only ANet knows if an item in the game is underpriced because players have not realized the potential of the item, or because of oversupply due to drops/crafting.
I’ve tried Sigil of earth for the first time yesterday. I haven’t managed to get 2 bleeding stacks with GS hits yet. I don’t know if it has a 2~3s CD, I didn’t test long.
It’s nice if you have a bit condition damage. It almost gives you a permanent single bleed on the opponent. For me, it deals 90 dmg tick and should be one of the most powerful (in terms of damage adding) for me.
The “gain stats-stacks on kill” seem nice, but only are for PvE. In instances, pvp, wvw you’ll be downed so often, that you won’t get more than double stacks.
Sigil of Accuracy (+crit chance) seems nice at first, but I’ve heard that it won’t affect illusions and therefore is crap (for me).
I also considered direct stat (not sigils) component. +25 precision is nice to have, especially if you’re illusion dependant.
I go with Sigil of Stamina & Sigil of Restoration, but my build heavily relies on Deceptive Evasion which means I like having a full Endurance bar.
With a lot of bouncing attacks and a high % crit chance might I recommend Sigil of Fire or Water? Lots of bounces means lots of AoE Fire Damage or AoE Heals.
It is unknown whether two crit chance or one crit/one damage stack.
Two crit chance Sigils do not, per some testing on the Warrior forums.
The Sigil of Perception can give you over +10% crit chance if you have all 25 stacks. That’s 250 extra precision, each 1% crit chance takes 21.16 precision. So really, you’re getting about 11.8% which is not bad at all. I imagine in a place you get downed a lot (dungeons, WvW, PvP, etc) that it might be better to go with the +5% crit chance (which is what I use).
sigil of perception is key for sharper image builds imo. in pve that is.
@ShadowbaneX – Sigil of Fire internal cooldown makes multihitting attacks an overkill for its activation, unless your crit chance is low.
@Ritz – The 25 stack sigils offer the most, however, there’s no reason to use the sigil once you have the stacks. So once you achieve, say, 11.8% increase in crit chance, you can switch to a sigil of accuracy for an extra 5% crit chance. For the time being, it’s best to have a separate “harvest” weapon set in addition to the main two weapon sets that should feature sigils like accuracy, force, stength, or fire.
