Why do i get condi when i evade your clones?
Quite simple, conditions applied on clone-death are non-evadable. I have a feeling theyre also unblockable. So any time a clone is destroyed from any means other than a shatter skill, and the mesmer is using on-clone-death traits, you WILL get hit if you are in range, regardless of any dodges or evades.
Like Coxy says, passive effects that trigger when enemies are attacked are not evaded. This also includes retaliation and auras. (check the wiki)
Its not the same as the passive effect like retaliation.
Where does is say it stilll apply on evade? because even wiki doesnt say it still apply on evade..

[edit] Notes
The effect triggers when a clone stops existing through any means other than a shatter skill.
Taken straight from the wiki:
Certain skills and effects cannot be evaded, they include:
Skills with area denial purposes: Line of Warding, Ring of Warding, Unsteady Ground, Static Field, Temporal Curtain’s cripple, and many others.
Passive effects that trigger when the enemies are attacked: Retaliation, Auras
Certain environmental traps/events/objects; e.g. Direct Lightning of Skyhammer
It is a passive effect that triggers when the clone is destroyed so it, awkwardly, falls under the category of aura/retal.

While that’s true (if traited), you should really read more than just the thread-title before replying to a post. Even in his first post, OP already stated that he’s fully aware of that fact. He even copy-pasted the trait-descriptions in one of his later posts.
@topic: I’ve got to agree with the other replies… clone-deaths can’t be evaded since they are not an actual attack. They are passive effects that are applied when a certain condition is met, which in this case is the death of a clone in a certain range around you. It’s the same with retaliation… you can’t evade it, since it’s not an actual attack. It just happens to hurt you if you hit a target that is under its effect.
Does seem like a strange one. It gives the conditions in a radius, so it must act like a physical skill rather then like retal.

Not to be a duh Ick about it but qq moar…really. I wish it was a bug. There are so many kittenin bugs with this class, holy shizer if this was a bug and it’s going in our favor—-
1st Im feinting from shock
2nd I’m laughing that your crying about it
3rd- I cringe knowing that anet will fix unintended bugs in a heartbeat if they do effect mesmers in a positive way
4th- I just realized you’re a warrior. A class I loathe, despise and will never play. Warrior tears lulz

yeah ok maybe it came out harsh, but I was on my phone and bla bla. I copied the description from the wiki and the answer is in there. The description says it applies conditions on death, not produce attacks that gives conditions. Therefore there is nothing to evade.
