hi guys , i been playing my reaper 80 for awhile and now i decide to try Mesmer . So far i am only level 60 and having so much fun and it seem mesmer are very good in pve support and team fight in spvp . so whats the reason you guys play mesmer ?

I play Mesmer (chrono) because most pug mesmers suck.

This is my first post on the forums and I have to say, I main mesmer because I love being absolutely FABULOUS. Not really XD. Not only do I enjoy the purple motif, but I enjoy the fact that I am a kittening mind wizard that supports his team through various forms of magic, along with the spawning of clones and the sort, and to me, there is just this constant learning curve for mesmer where I’m learning new things every day where as I have not found this with other classes <3.

Because…it’s mesmer..
But, I mained mesmer because all the other classes (with the exception of revenant but it wasn’t released yet) were common classes that were a staple of every game. Mesmer was not that.

Having played MMO’s for most of a couple of decades, the thing I find interesting about GW2 in terms of mechanics is the combat system. There’s so much more movement and ability to innovate on the fly compared to other games.

Mesmer is the profession that feels like it offers the greatest chance to really experience and enjoy that fluid and reactive kind of combat. It feels like a class that I can continually get better at playing. And when you play it well, you can really have a big impact.

What better word to describe my reason to play mesmer then mesmerizing

I don’t main mesmer but I’ve always wanted to play it more.

The changes with HoT made Mesmer a lot more user friendly in PvE with phantasms taking 95% less damage unless the target of an attack. They still suffer from the not getting buffs so can’t damage the enemies BS.

I do play mesmer a lot more in PvP and WvW roaming, the ability to use a 7.5s stealth and blink away really helps escape those very angry national servers.

Because it’s imo the class that has the most utility/gimmicks/usefulness to offer when playing with others, because I feel it is the best class to solo Fractals/Dungeons with and because it has such a vast array of tools and being able to use and master them all in combat is amazing.

Ranged control and unique support.
