So I’ve seen some of the guides for condition PU builds advertising sigils such as Blood or Doom, but I was wondering; are the new sigils of Torment (30% chance on crit to cause AoE Torment for 8s, 7s CD) worth using in WvW?

Also how important are rune of perplexity? I have traveler’s runes and am loathe to give up the OOC run speed for roaming in WvW, but on the other hand being able to stack up more Confusion also sounds really nice.

I use sup Sigil Torment, it works fine, Rune wise, some have had success using Sup Runes of Traveller, Undead & even Torment, I think even if they add an ICD to 6/6 for Perplexity it would still be my rune of choice for this build.

I always always use 2x sigils of energy. The extra dodge every 10s on weapon swap is simply unmatchable for its affect by any other sigil in the game. Nothing even comes close.

It provides more defense from dodges, more offense from clones, more defense from clones, shatter fodder, etc. It’s simply too good to pass up.

I always always use 2x sigils of energy. The extra dodge every 10s on weapon swap is simply unmatchable for its affect by any other sigil in the game. Nothing even comes close.

It provides more defense from dodges, more offense from clones, more defense from clones, shatter fodder, etc. It’s simply too good to pass up.

I totally agree!
I also use this sigil on every mainhand weapon. It’s extremly strong.

If you want to get sigils to add extra damage, go for sigil of leeching.
On crit sigils are unreliable unless you got like 60% crit chance cause mesmers dont exactly spam attacks that often.
Leeching gives you a guaranteed 1000 ish damage + 1000 hp heal at every weapon swap. Not sure if it can be blocked or not.

But when it comes to sigils in general, sigils of energy are really awesome as Pyro mentioned, since it works on top of the vigor you might have, giving you a lot of dodges.

I know it’s a bit off topic for thread, but would people who choose Sigil of Energy also choose it for power (phantasm) builds?

I really like the sigils of battle. The damage bonus helps a lot and lasts 14.5 seconds when you have PU and wear Travelers. So it’s pretty easy to have 6 stacks that transfer their power to your phantasms.

I’ve never tried the sigils of energy, so I’m just wondering if it’s specific to clone-creating / condition builds.

Absolutely. Nothing gives more of a boost. In a phantasm build in particular, the only thing you need to worry about is staying alive, your combat ability is quite handily taken care of with your phantasms, and energy sigils do that better than anything else.
