Ok, so regarding the upcoming ferocity stat I just want to be sure. I roll a a power mes and just started on WvW. Starting to invest on an ascended set too, but before I mess things up, when ferocity hits would it still be worth it going zerker or should I switch to soldier’s now?

Next patch will be ferocity hit. 10% reduction in damage if you are full zerker. I really don’t think it’s a big deal because the lost damage can easily made up because of the sigil/rune change. If anything you should look at how thenew sigil rune and new class changes will impact the meta rather than the ferocity.

Well, mostly just concerned about when I complete ascended armor set because I wouldn’t wanna regret going full zerk if the ferocity difference is noticeable.

Zerk in WVW is not the best set anyway. I run dire set with zerk trinkets. For dung runs zerk always best option. In few month all mats return to original prices and you’ll be able to make 2-3 sets. I run ascended half zerk half assasin in dungeons

PvE I’m not too concerned cause I know zerk will still do it’s duty. Although you’re right, I just noticed not doing zerks on armor and only putting them on trinks is the best way, thanks.

You’ll lose about 30% crit damage, which is about 10% overall damage considering non-crits and 150% base crit damage.

I wouldn’t invest ascended zerker until I adjusted to the new damage output. It’ll be slightly higher than PvP crit damage so you could start from that.

zerker might (and probably will) stay the best pure dps gear.
