I’d like to ask if my toughness and vitality numbers are ok to run in WvW. I have in mind a build with 2800 of armour and 18,3k of health. The problem is that I see the health might be some low, but instead I have a lot of toughness.
PD: It’s for a zerg build.

Welp, considering I run around with no vit or toughness and do decently, you should be fine. Don’t get into 1v1’s because you’re most likely just going to get whittled.
Yes that’s fine. And no, you shouldn’t get whittled, depending on your build and skill level.
Got enough condition removal?
Solid numbers tbh, I like to shoot for ~2800 armour too, but does depend on build and abilities.
It really depends on how you fight. If you take full advantage of all of the mesmer active defenses and properly time your dodges, you can get away with having no stat boosts to armor and health. I know some that prefer high toughness because it transfers to illusions and makes every hitpoint count more. My personal goal is to have 20k health as I’m fairly proficient at dodging but can be taken down by conditions, if I’m not careful. I only carry Null Field for cleansing which is awesome at it but has a 45 second recharge.

Well, if you build pure Vit/Toughness, you will get whittled because you won’t be able to retaliate for much (haha, retaliate… that can be taken in 2 ways, both fitting).
However, with just high toughness, you will need high condition removal to be able to survive as conditions will be the major damage dealer against your build.
The main reason why I say that it’s not going to be effective is because if someone is to pose a question like this on the forum, they’re most likely not going to get the right build to suit their stats, and then they will, at best, just get whittled down.
I forget to say that it’s a build for zerguing.
And yes Curunen, I have very good condition cleaning, with sigil of generosity and a lot of precision I have no problems.
Yeah if you have loads of passive condition removal (ie, runes/food/sigils), then good to focus on toughness over vitality.
Really depends how you play and deal with direct/condition damage.
Of course you could just run something glassy if you’re exceptionally skilled with active damage mitigation – I know I’m certainly not!
I’m guessing that you’re using mostly Rabid gear with some other random pieces thrown in for a bit of vitality.
I have very similar stats on my build (http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fgAQNAW8flwzqpXUTmGb9IipHBHyBcoU0dZXJF22FC-jkyAINioZaBMVRQjKgkDLiGbVsIasKZioa1NmBPQ28lVDA-w) and I find that my survivability is immense. Obviously I don’t know your weapon/skill choices, but as long as you make good use of your dodges and other skills to avoid taking damage, have condition removal, and don’t do something dumb like stand in 100 Blades, you should have incredible survivability with those stats.
Ok, thanks to all of you. Now I’m in the middle of exams, but I’ll post my new build as soon as possible xd
