is this skill useful for 30 points?
Or should i go with the new heal skill instead?

Of all Mesmer elites, it’s the absolute most useful in WvW. Not familiar enough with PvE content to praise it there.

Its mass stealth so in PvE means you can skip some dungeon bits, or drop agro to do a res. Otherwise it truly shines in PvP environments.

You can also buy both.

Given the choice, I’d definitely go for Mass Invis first. MI is a must-have if you ever plan on roaming in WvW and fairly handy for doing map completion in PvE. Signet of the Ether, on the other hand, is pretty weak outside of some very niche builds.

Really, don’t sweat the decision either way. Just keep playing and before long you’ll have more skill points than you’ll know what to do with.

In wvw/pvp it’s awesome for saving downed allies from being stomped.

Absolutely – overall most useful elite by far.

I agree, Mass invis is a fabulous elite to have in WvW.

I only have it off my bar if i’m in a zerg with some fabulous melee, to make their leap+bomb a 1push

as little as i personally use MI, i can find more uses for it vs the Ether Signet which is not a great healing skill even tho it looks it on paper.

Decoy followed by MI – before decoys invisibility ends – saves your life. With the trait that leaves clone at decoy. Like: Decoy, dodge (leaving another clone), MI, blink, focus 4.
