I’m rocking full zerker gear in pve with scholar runes.
What would be the best alternate gear for extra survivability? I know that zerker doesn’t work against tequatl for example. Are there other fights where this is the case?

Try using lyssa runes! They work pretty well as a mesmer because you can get a full condition cleanse by using your elite. Also, they will sometimes randomly proc protection or regen when you heal which can be really nice.

You could also look at a number of other rune sets, but honestly you should be fine with what you have.

I did Teq in Zerk. Had no problem at all. In Pve Zerk is fine.

Any objects, without mobs. There PTV isn’t better since it does the same amount of dmg as zerker, but its a lot easier to survive in

For PvE I would say yes. It’s a nice set for WvW zerging.

I use clerics/magi for zerging. Gives me great survivability. For pve I run zerker.
