I’m sorry for your issue, but on another hand, our rate of spawning clones is so high with so little CDs on our skills that DE isn’t really THAT mandatory…
In fact, I’d much rather keep my endurance for dodging than for creating clones at that point.

im hearing you but in my experience id rather have the clone availability that DE provides in addition to our weapon and utility skill based clone production. clones get popped way to fast for me to justify not having DE. in other words, im not trying to debate whether DE should be used or shouldn’t. Im just saying that DE was punished inadvertently from this issue of evasion that dodge mechanic provides in a general sense. Also DE is bugged in that it doesn’t always create a clone after dodging while engaged in combat.

With the integration of the new specialization mechanics, the clone production that DE provided in addition with all of our other clone replications were deemed appropriate with the previous rate of endurance regen. Or in other words the rate of clone production from DE was working as intended. The adjustment that was made to the dodge mechanics were not made because of mesmers cranking out clones too fast but rather a new issue or rather a new “perception” of an issue lead to this change.

until a few days ago my mesmer was doing just fine no issues whatsoever….but now the dodge mechanic has been severely slowed even with food that boosts endurance regeneration. this is counter productive when you are using deceptive evasion for the clone creation mechanic. also i notice that even while in combat i may dodge but no clone will be created. so not only does the endurance regenerate extremely slowly, but i lose out on a clone. from my understanding endurance was “adjusted” for pvp reasons of evading attacks, but that has nothing to do with my particular issue. even with vigor boon and the +40% endurance regeneration i barely notice any change of rate with endurance. the deceptive evasion trait is being punished unnecessarily. with my play style i found a happy medium in being able to get my clones off and shatter appropriately, but now clones are unreliable because other players kill the clones faster than they can be replicated. deceptive evasion bridged the gap for me. anyone else see the issue in this? im done rambling…bye.

I quit using it long while ago, went for more useful stuff. Dont have issues with this.

De isn’t bugged. It creates clones just fine. Unless you can produce a video of it failing, I’m going to call user error on this one.

I am ok with it as whole classes have the same issue and with the power buff you don’t really need to dodge to shatter
