Have been gone awhile and picking up my mesmer again but I am a bit lost atm, what are some good general solo builds/set ups?

If you are level 80 then I recommend the base shatter-cat build (see the sticky) for PVE.

If you’re not, then it really depends on your level.

Are you more interested in PVE or WvWvW content?

Shattercat is pretty standard and helps you get back into the fastpaced Mesmer style. If you’re not really into the concert piano, try Lazy Kai instead.

the build is almost the same as Osicat but with full berserker gear and some staff buffs.

I used to run Osicats with full bers, I’ve since modified it drastically to change my gear to valk, and my playstyle took an entire turn so I don’t shattercat anymore. I’m going to work 0on my 6th armor set which will be a more PvP/solo oriented version of my build where I can play safe while dealing large damage.

Whats you goals OP ? WvW, sPvP, PvE, bit of everything ? Is your playstyle direct damage, conditions or bunker ?

@MrSmiley, I not sure if you after wvwvw, pve or farm ore in queeensdale. If you thu after solo raoming in wvwvw my latest spec I not yet fully presented is fully focused on solo/smal team wvwvw roaming. Its a demanding spec thu, just a warning, still its capable of some of the most amazing stunts, fight 1 vs x, escape ganksing partys and even catch other classes trying out run you.

Also this is not a glascannon spec, the gear and spec is based on the survival spec Shatter Cat Heavy, your toughness will be around 1500, and you have every mobile and acctive ability you can imagine.

The burst and dmg is incrediable thu, had 3k shatter x 4 and seen 8k blade flury on low lvls/glascannons. Had a 6,3k rune of air crit the other day on a lvl 80.
