have you guys even watched a team of good mesmers… I mean not average but good…? then you’d know they need serious nerfing with their CDs and illusion spam

I can get on my mes and roll people like crazy but if you’re playing another class you have to beat one down because their last stand is ridiculous

and don’t get me started on how they can strip boons and apply conditions

in tournaments they are the complete package maybe this should be looked at?

I wish my Mesmer had the same last stand as all these Mesmers people fight so that I could always escape instead of being teleported right next to where I was and getting stomped anyway.

Replace mesmer with any other class and you pretty much have the same thing.

Play a mesmer and learn their weaknesses.

remove the root from the sword/pistol build and it nullifies their heavy-hitting #2 attack.
auto-attack the phantasms and the damage becomes pathetic.

use ctrl+t and the clones become useless.

mesmer is only op’d against noobs. If you want an indication of how powerful they actually are, watch them in pve.. they’re either very squishy or take for EVER to kill anything.

Last stand? Do you mean the downed state?

It’s pretty mediocre, the Mesmer is the only one with an actual skull icon over their head. They’re completely harmless if you don’t attack and proc confusion, as well.

Everyday a new crying post about mesmers. But yeah, they should nerf the mesmers. Just take all of their damage, so they can only run, and can’t damage anything! Even with this people would start crying because they couldn’t kill us -.-

Nah .. just increase phantasm-recharge to 3 min, remove portal and Moa, make our illusions and phantasms even more fragile, and every time we pop out stealth or make a new clone give us a skull over our head. I think that more or less sums up how ppl feel about us.
And “they” cry out for balance?

It makes me sad how many people have a hard time with mesmers. Anybody who has spent any amount of time playing a mesmer will faceroll them every time. The second you can exploit the class’s weaknesses they become borderline harmless, or at least an easy kill. Honestly the only time I’ve been killed by a mesmer is when the person was genuinely a good player, at which point it wouldn’t have mattered what class they were playing.

Hildebert, I agree. Playing one, I find fighting enemy Mesmers to be close to the easiest duel-like fight I can have. It lasts long, but it’s very easy to win really, it all depends on who makes the mistake of hitting an illusion – which a Mesmer will very rarely do.
